Re: The New World Order
I'd rather have an NPC monarch than what is currently happening, unfortunately. I think the easiest way would be for Enakai's wife to die/miscarry and have NPC Gemara ascend, but that's just me. The theme of the game is Order vs. Mages, the theme isn't really supposed to be like A Game of Thrones, a...

Re: The New World Order
After actually being involved in this for a while longer, I'd like to switch my vote from maybe to no. I think, unfortunately, that while the RP is somewhat exciting, it is inherently cliqueish and sort of makes it necessary and even beneficial for nobles to keep having noble RP. I feel this is detr...

Re: IC time - too fast?
I've played TI at 4x speed and at like a much reduced speed and the reduced speed, frankly, sucks. I think in this case we should probably just have an unspoken understanding that things in TI take 'longer' than they should OOCly, and that that 'longer' time is actually normal, IC. If that makes sen...

Re: Family Members and Backstory Links
I've noticed this myself, the passed week or so and I do think it's an issue. Despite the fact that I had an OOC family link and a 'friend of the family' link, these were more the result of previous RP rather than OOC planning. I kinda dislike it. I think 1, maybe 2, especially if your character is ...

Re: Child Characters
I think a 'permanent' stat reducing type affect would be a good idea, time does, afaik, go 4x faster than IRL, so assuming the mud is still up and running a year from now, most of the children will become adolescents or even young adults. With that thought in mind I picked stats based on an adult, b...

Re: Child Characters
I agree with Callista entirely, and my suggestion about opening a poll for mages was meant to be sarcastic/ironic. Child chars aren't hurting anyone, it's different, and yeah not all of us do so perfectly, but rather than say 'no more, bad players!' why not -foster- and -encourage- RP? I liked wilde...

Re: Child Characters
If we're going to restrict people on the basis that RP is obnoxious, can we open up a similar poll on mages being application only? Cause... from what I understand, if a kid char is being a nuisance, you can throw him out or walk away and not be irritated. A twink mage can screw with you from pretty...

Re: Poll: Mages in Cells
I was always told on OtherTI that cells were proofed against magic. I have no idea if that was just rumor, or what have you, it probably was. Anyway, I'm pretty against mages being able to cast at all while in cells, unless the spells require absolutely no movement, or unless they've been unrestrain...

Re: WhereRP - IC or OOC?
I think if you have whererp on, be it because you're in a forced whererp on room, or because you have it on, then you're inviting people to come and rp with you. IIRC there's a prompt option that allows you to tell whether or not you have whererp on. I think if you are in a private situation, in a p...

Re: Child Characters
I think rather than restricting kid chars, they should just be dealt with as you would normally ICly deal with a kid char. If your first instinct is to treat a kid char like an adult when they do something bad then so be it, if it is to be more lenient, as we are in real life, then so be it too. I d...
