Could GLs be given the power to bypass sponsor requirements?
Ideally any seeker would be able to enjoy the full process of application, interview, vetting and induction through RP but the reality is that between differing player schedules and cycles of guild activity, this is not always feasible. This should remain the FIRST option, absolutely, but I think guild leaders should be given the authority to pull people IN as necessary...especially given that they already have the authority to remove people.
As there are already checks in place to prevent OOC (and unreasonable IC) abuse of GL power, there shouldn't be any drawbacks to the change - but it could be immensely helpful for guilds who are trying to build up their numbers to promote more activity...which in turn attracts more people.

And/or, could GLs be allowed to sponsor folks?
In particular, there have been seekers who often run into both GLs but not so much into non-GL characters in the guild. This was a problem because even though the seeker only needed one sponsor, and BOTH leaders approved of the seeker, they were unable to actually join the guild.
Being able to actually sponsor and let the other GL continue with an interview/enlisting would be helpful, IMO.
