Re: Rumor Rules for Discussion
To be frank, a rumor mill is supposed to be spiteful. That's the way rumors always are in my experience. I've personally had some very, very unfortunate things said about my chars and people directly involved with my chars come up in rumors, things that were not flattering or true. It's a rumor syst...

The thing is, if you want to be involved in the salacious underbelly, you have to RP into it. I spent the first little bit having to create a fair few minor plots of my own, and then one day: BOOM. I was in it so hard that it sent my head reeling. As much as I would want to be accommodating to newbi...

Re: Swearing, Blasphemy, and Racial Slurs
Well, I'm coming at it from the things I do on my characters. Having freeman and them being rather rough, there's a lot of potty mouthing: Arien's teeth (to replace "Arien h-word") Arien Celeste, Arien blog (to replace "Arien f-word") Daravi whore, blogging trollop (similar to "son of a b-word") Ell...

Re: TI Technology
1400s was when the Church really started too lose a lot of its influence kind of hard, skepticism was starting to take hold, etc. I know it's not exactly the same, but I feel that the game is supposed to be sort of an alternate reality version that kind of parallels what went on. In that case, the C...

Re: Players Extending the Theme
I guess my main problem is that it seems like a preposterous escalation. The much more rational explanation is that it's *just* a stick, so to wave it over the water randomly like it's obviously a supernatural stick stretches believability and coherence to its limits. As for how to handle it, if the...
