Re: [Poll] Theme Enforcement - the gentle approach

For what it's worth, I don't think that theme is a thing that can be enforced so much as it is a culture. With that in mind, TI's theme wore on me very quickly. Saints vs sinners Medieval Colonial Edition can only be rehashed so many ways, and the theme remains static and unchanging. No new dialogue...

Re: Off-topc from assets discussion Puciek and Vouxumuo

No amount of hiring is going to help you when the initial organization for a plot staff is not there. Can you clarify? To put it into context, this is something that I didn't realize until after I left and had a chance to really review how other plot staffers work. My feelings while a staffer may h...

Re: Off-topc from assets discussion Puciek and Vouxumuo

As for staff-run plots, it's not that we don't want to, it's that we don't have the capacity to do so, particularly not on a consistent basis. I've tried to hire plot staff and it falls through - they start plots and fail to finish them, they do everything else but, etc. So we made the storyteller ...

Re: Off-topc from assets discussion Puciek and Vouxumuo

Please forgive me for thinking I have any information that's helpful about this argument. I lurk here sometimes when I'm bored at work and feel like the amount of time, sweat, and tears that I've put into this game entitle me to some small opinion about it. As for not being to make friends, well, I ...

Re: [Poll] Familiarity (RPxp) Required for Finish

The least fun I had on this game was PKing and dying. For one reason or another, those always left me feeling equal parts bitter and disappointed. The most fun I've had on any MUD was the constant interplay of interpersonal relationships, especially when they were antagonistic. Ariel vs Casimir, Nae...

Re: On Log of OOC meeting 11/5/2016

Goodryke says, "I mean honestly it's that simple - if there is never trail, there is no reason for inquisitors to exist. Simple enough" Have you ever considered that maybe the Inquisition's main source of RP shouldn't be some attempt at Sherlock Holmesing the system, and they should instead be focu...

Re: Log of OOC Meeting for 9/19/2016

2 cents: There's a very nifty system I've seen that allows you to spend money to look up information about a character. This information is made by that particular character, and varies in price depending on the triviality of the information. So players can put things like "Was born in Vandago in Mo...

Re: Catering to a Toxic Portion of the Playerbase

<REDACTED BY KINAED FOR BEING EXTREMELY INFLAMMATORY> Let's just have a little faith in Staff's ability to handle policy cases, as they've been doing it since the start of the game, so they must obviously know what the flying fish they are doing. A staff member's. Singular. Again, as said before, my...
