Re: Death XP and New Players
Putting on my Curmudgeon hat for a moment... Why? I mean... Why should a cyan get advanced to the same "level" as me when I have put in four years of dedication to this game playing GLs for the vast majority of it? I don't think it would attract new players. You are a cyan. You are a poor farmer fro...

Re: Players Avoiding RP
Do people have a view about length limits and what they might or should be? Or do people not view emote length as a problem/contributor to the problems of people linkdeathing or getting bored waiting on people? What I was always told, and what I have accepted as my good practice standard, is that a...

Re: Players Avoiding RP
So I was thinking about this some, and before I get into solutions I want to make sure I understand the problem. If I am reading you correctly there are actually three problems here: 1) People DCing in the middle of scenes 2) People not sticking around to RP or committing traditional RP avoidance. 3...

Re: Antag and You
I <3 the flowchart. Thanks, Geras! Gerolf :P P.S. I don't think that 'sore loser' is a good phrase to use in your flowchart. What you describe later on is what I was driving for but "Don't be that guy that goes link dead in the middle of a scene you don't like just because you got caught" or "don't...

Antag and You
In another game I play, someone posted a flowchart/Decision tree about how best to look at antagonism. It was messy and a little overly opinionated for my tastes but it was enough to stimulate some thought in my noggin and I decided to post a cleaned up version for us. Note: This isn't a reflection ...

Log of OOC Meeting - 2/17/2018
Kinaed has transferred Beaman. A Comfortable Room [Perfect] A plethora of gaily coloured silk pillows with fringes and tassels completely conceal the floor. A large pillow in the corner stands out, a brooding black mass of velvet and fringeless. Screens of nature scenes painted with the spare stroke...

Re: Turns in Group Scenes
I would just add as an Addendum to Rabek's rule, unless you are engaged with another person, then give them a chance to respond before assuming that they are ignoring you.
Also if it is a really busy scene (8+) consider using the join command to limit your interactions and emotes to the broader room
