Re: [Poll] Enforcing Theme
Massive +1 to the latter of Dice's post. I don't know if I haven't been around long enough to know, but the game feels rather post-story: it feels like the most meaningful parts have already happened, the seventh season is over, and now this is a fan fiction where people don't want to mess with cano...

Re: Catering to a Toxic Portion of the Playerbase
Speaking solely to the post title, players who have influence within the game are usually the target of vitriol from all sides. It's why leadership positions are difficult: some will see success and feel the need to attribute it to anything save for that player's merit. I've had it done to me on sev...

Re: Whererp off by default
Okay, maybe this is from a misunderstanding of what where is, but if there's a distinction between "invitation" and "non-invitation but on" and off... what does non-invitation but on mean? What purpose does it serve at that point? I really like the idea of making something passive and uninformative ...

Re: Whererp off by default
"I think it's completely reasonable to assume that if someone has whereRP on"... ... Hm. Its role as a flag of availability is empty if it's only true for say half, so you're still left guessing who really means it and who doesn't. If I have an OOC reason for being on for just ten minutes, I will st...

Re: Whererp off by default
Oh yeah. I'm not saying where should disappear! I think that it should represent an active intention to roleplay, though, to function more usefully.

Re: Whererp off by default
I like seeing some people in closed rooms, because it's possible for me to go knock on their door if I have access--it can still be used to imply that someone could knock the door to your house, or on the room to your infirmary/cell room because you want your solitude disrupted. I think flagging a f...

Re: Whererp off by default
I totally get that, but if a bunch of those places are inaccessible, that might cause frustrations as well, right? I realize that sometimes I'm working on something, in POLCAs, reading rumors, writing notes, reading helpfiles--all that, and I both forget about whererp and don't at all intend to be r...

Whererp off by default
I think this was brought up a couple of weeks ago in a meeting, but I think it would be great if it defaulted to off; it seems like you're going to get more false positives with people just forgetting rather than doing it intentionally. I don't know--maybe some public rooms like the Bluebird or the ...

Re: The End of the Regency
I think that would be interesting--sort of a delegates and super delegates sort of thing? :) I was thinking about class tension as a part of the system beyond the outlined mechanics; maybe some effects should effect the ruling class differently; maybe they are buffered to an extent. There's room for...

Re: The End of the Regency
Maybe as the heart of the empire, the centralizing of power requires ducal individuals to politick in the capitol itself. I don't know, I just seriously don't understand where the "strike the whole Jenga board down" logic comes from. I sympathize with change being difficult to be sure, especially if...
