Re: Moar Wilderness Redux
I know other larger settlements have been rejected in the past because of not wanting to split the playerbase, and I personally think that a smaller more condensed grid is better than vast amounts of sprawl. That said. I know several people who would love to have a section of the Orkin explorable. P...

Re: Villian Applications
Yeah, man, why not throw it in for other concepts too? Certainly Inquisitors at the very least. Personally, I think any time there's a concept that provides a 'service' to the game that players may not be intrinsically motivated to provide, there's no reason not to take cost out of the equation and...

I dislike chance based things on principle. If it's meant to do something, just make it do it every time.

Re: Flaming swords?
Damascus steel isn't any more flammable than regular steel. And swords already have a significant advantage over every other weapon due to their damage dice, ability to be sharpened, and nigh-exclusive range of medium. And setting a sword on fire (or any metal weapon on fire) would destroy the tempe...

Re: There needs to be a top to bottom re-evaluation of arrest and imprisonment processes
Lorewise, there are 3 big reasons why mages can't cast spells in the cells, one of which is obvious to non-mages: the guards interrupting attempts. The others are only obvious to actual mages. There's no reason to gag a mage when they're in the cells at all. None of those reasons have to do with sou...

Re: On Latency and Awakening
In regards to awakening, I really, really, really, really really do not like that it reveals the mage's identity through all disguises to the person being awakened, and I fully expect that this will result in zero awakenings from anyone who isn't already publicly outed as a mage. The risk factor is ...

Re: Accessible RP and Characters
I sometimes hear this, and I often think that it comes about only because most players aren't aware of all the shenanigans that do happen on grid; not every shenanigan is visible to the public or physically harmful. But more important than that, the simple facts are that: A. Most people aren't viole...
