Re: Latency clarification
I agree that mages should have some method to detect a Latent. If it was a spell, then it would have to be a universal one that any element could use. I kind of don't want it to be a spell though. Maybe just a chance when looking at an individual that they get a flavor message like '<element of lat...

Re: RP style pointers
What recommendations do you have for a player who struggles expressing their PC through emoted facial expressions and body language? One, don't feel shame to add in some clue words - smiles insincerely, a worried frown, tilts their head curiously. As you practice clarity you can work into more poet...

Re: In what circumstances should you deny a PC (cyan or otherwise) entry into a guild?
Let me offer the flip side here: Keep in mind that as a GL you should remember that every member you add to your guild also increases your workload. These are people who are going to need to be engaged with scenes and potentially have their promotion tracked and so on and so forth depending on your...

Re: Jail Channel
ok, so the channel is strictly for requesting roleplay and not for OOC banter which should go to the OOC channel... easy enough. but players are actually using it for exactly that, asking for roleplay, with periodic reminders, and being told they are nagging, or asking too frequently. No. If they w...

Re: Inactive in RP
I think people's playstyle is going to speak for itself, and the points already reward where it counts... if a player wants to farm you for xp without providing anything interesting to interact with, then they get one shot and the other PC at that point can just toss a remember flag to forwarn thems...

RP style pointers
Hello TI peeps, I'm very new to the server and also not a very experienced mudder. I am looking to improve my RP style in a couple of areas specifically, but also just looking for any pointers that anyone might offer if asked. please discard your kid gloves, be brutal and direct if necessary, but al...

Re: assets and city metrics
Yeah, it's worth noting that while these trends can last for what feels like months, they DO shift. Piety used to be in the dumpster 3 years ago. We've had phases where Morale is legendary. It usually seems to relate to whichever Guild has the 'strongest' and most active characters, and right now, ...

Re: assets and city metrics
Piety is constantly high because of the playerbase's actions and support. If your suggestion was in effect, it'd basically negate the entire point of supporting said city metric. Many players support the city metric that their assets cash out on, and if cashing out also counteracts the asset... wel...
