I, alas, was not present for some salient moments of the April Fools' curse extravaganza, but for those who may have missed some of the fun, I have cleaned up my own log of Ofelia's misadventures in masculinity (or Ofella von Hartschlong - courtesy of Farra's player).

---------------------------

Wherein Ofelia accepts a shiny gift from a stranger, and madness ensues.

[One fine morning, in Ofelia's study...]

That tall, dark-haired woman was definitely here the whole time, wasn't she? [OOC]

A tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold wishes to initiate a contest with you, using their wisdom.

Contest of a tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold's wisdom vs Ofelia's wisdom!
A tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold wins!

Nearly six feet tall, this woman is rather androgynous - she has the
lean build, devoid of many curves but granted subtle strength, that could
belong to either gender. Dark hair is slicked back in a glistening wave,
shining eyes a deep and odd yellow-green. She's clad in fantastic garb: a
goldenrod frockcoat over a tight bodice, a lacy cravat, layers upon layers
of filmy, full skirts, and all of it embroidered in bizarre golden designs
that seem oddly hard to focus on for too long.

A tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold is here. But of course, there's nothing odd about that. After all, she was here before, anyway, and there really isn't any good reason why she shouldn't be, is there? And look at her sweet smile. "Hello, miss," she croons softly. "I've been looking for you. I've got a special little trinket I picked out personally...!"

Ofelia looks up from her writing, and outside of the single, polite blink, her expression quickly morphs into a habitally polite expression, apparently seeing no issue at all with the new presence in her study. "Oh, good day," she answers back with a pleasant smile and a habitually courteous nod. "A trinket?" She wonders, seemingly delighted at the prospect. "How very kind," she appreciatively answers. After all, it would be beneath her to refuse a present when it is so kindly offered.

A tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold gets a gaudy brass anklet with five huge red glass gems from a large wicker basket with a flip-up cover and cloth lining.

"Isn't it lovely?" The anklet a tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold pulls from her basket is not, in fact, lovely. It's a cheap and vulgar trinket. But, as Ofelia looks at it, the gems sparkle like the largest rubies... the brass shines brilliant as gold. It is, without a doubt, the most beautiful and appealingly ornate piece of jewelry she has ever seen. She -must- have it. And here it is, being offered up so freely! [a tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold]

A tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold starts to move towards the west.

A tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold gives a gaudy brass anklet with five huge red glass gems to Ofelia.

Ofelia's eyes light up with an uncharacteristically covetous glee as she accepts the present of cheap metal and what must certainly be paste. Not that she would complain, apparently; it does truly seem like the most wonderful thing she has ever seen. "Oh... it is wonderful!" She delightully coos, turning the ugly, tacky thing a very slow spin and appreciating its ever elaborate-seeming cheapness. "Oh you are far too kind," she gasps, feelin a distinct urge to wear the object to show it off right away.

"Oh, aren't I?" a tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold laughs, bestowing a benevolent grin Ofelia's way. "You absolutely -must- put it on." Oh, yes. She absolutely must put it on; much as the sky is blue and water is wet, this fantastic piece of jewelry must be worn at once. It is one of the elemental and fundamental truths of the world. "Your ankle, dear," is added, and yes, obviously, that's where it goes. [a tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold]

Under a tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold's encouragement, and with a flurry of her silken skirts, Ofelia quite urgently sets to clasping the object about one ankle. As evidently, she must, she has no reason not to, after all. It is beautiful and wonderful and absolutely the grandest thing she has ever set eyes on in the course of her short life. The yellow ribbons at the hem of her slip are hiked up somewhere about her knee and she slips the item on and pushes it shut with a faint click. [Ofelia]

Ofelia wears a gaudy brass anklet with five huge red glass gems on her ankles.
As Ofelia dons the anklet, his frame loses its definition - in the space of an eyeblink, curves flatten to angled planes, several inches of height gained along the way. Between one second and the next, she has become a man. The process is excruciatingly painful, but thankfully brief.

As the anklet makes contact and the flesh beneath rearranges, the metal sizzles softly - without any added pain, it bonds to the skin, fused into place and quite impossible to remove without some serious surgery. The transition brings with it clarity, a release from all the confused desires of the moment, and likely regret - but a tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold is gone, leaving behind only mad laughter. [a tall, dark-haired woman in garish gold]

That tall, dark-haired woman was never here, right? [OOC]

Ofelia has changed his intro from 'a young, dusky-skinned woman' to 'a delicate, dusky-skinned man in a fancy gown'.

l self
Raven hair in an elaborately girly coif crowns the head of this tall,
finely-limbed man of evident Vandagan extractions. His visage is an
amalgamation of notably sharp features, mingled with contrastingly pillowy
curves, and he looks upon the world with softly canted, crystalline blue
eyes. A trim figure, he seems to be all long-limbs encased in a delicate
package.

And a fancy dress.

Ofelia is using:
<worn on head> a yellow silk headband with a burst of purple-dyed feathers
<worn around neck> a high, stiff spencer collar, edged in bright yellow thread
a low square neckline prettily embroidered in yellow thread
a long, thrice-wrapped chain of delicate, pale silver links
<worn over shoulder> a sturdy doubly-lined silk satchel, fit with leather straps
<worn on arms> long, slim-fit jacket sleeves, edged with yellow embroidery
<worn, left wrist> a yellow ribbon, wound through a string of champagne pearls
<worn on hands> silken gloves, scalloped at the wrist with yellow threading
<held, in off hand> a jaunty silken parasol, embroidered with floral patterning
<worn on torso> a tight, high-waisted spencer jacket, embroidered in yellow
a light and airy empire-waisted gown of embroidered challis
<worn about waist> a narrow silken waist sash edged with glossy yellow fringes
a simple, undecorated sterling silver keyring, with a clasp
<worn on legs> flowy, airy challis skirts embroidered in yellow at the hem
<worn on ankles> a gaudy brass anklet with five huge red glass gems
<worn on feet> dainty silk slippers, embroidered with glossy yellow thread

And lo, Dudefelia finds other afflicted persons...

Ofelia arrives from the west toting a jaunty silken parasol, embroidered with floral patterning over his shoulder.
The Park Street Training Hall
[Pleasant]
Highly polished dark wood boards are spread across the surface of this
expansive and airy hall. A clerk's desk made from matching wood has been
positioned to the south of the entryway, stood in front a white painted
wall that echoes the vertical surfaces in the rest of the area. Framed
awards and paintings have been hung along the lengths of the space,
breaking up the bleak white with a splash of subdued colour, while the high
ceilings have been adorned with ornately carved wood panels. In the center
of the room stands a large marble statue of a Knight Lithmorran standing
tall and proud with a sword at his side. Towards the back of the hall a
pair of curving wooden staircases leads to the auditorium above.

A large sign stands near the entryway.

Iphigenie has arrived.
Your mount does not cross the threshold.

[Action: Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap is in the process of chasing after a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose. ]

Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina doesn't try to let a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose go so easily as Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir tries to haul her off. A whine is broken by cackling giggles. "STOP STEALING MY TOYS, ARIEL..ETTE! HEeheeeheee!" Her fingers dig into the woman's shoulder, possessively.

Action set to:
Ofelia is standing by the entrance, looking like a sour-faced man in a gown.

"What in Dav's name..." Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua trails off, finding her casual, collected stroll into the training quite interrupted by all sorts of shenanigans--the nearly nude woman tackling a well built Farin with cyan eyes, a well built Farin with cyan eyes's hilarity, ari's... nearly everything. Even Ofelia's arrival marks a double-take. "What is going on!" [Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua]

A lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose is plucked off Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina with all the effort required of hefting up a sack of potatoes, though her hands make a wayward grasp for the Countess in the last possible moment, trailing fading fingers over a hint of pink silk. She has no rightful clue where she's headed, let alone why it's happening, until she has been thoroughly cradled by Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir. A slender arm slings around the back of the Lady Savir's neck, hand resting aimlessly over the nape. "Defended your honor, my liege, I surely did..." is mumbled under her breath, vaguely defensive. Apparently forgetting who she'd been defending -against-, her free hand is lifted and rapidly waved at Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina, joined by a kiss blown off the tips of her fingers. She whispers, "...swimming?" into the shell of Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's ear.

"Alessandra my darling, it is quite charming," Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem says as he moves behind Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina wrapping his arms around her waist and struggling to pull back. He isn't very big or wrong himself either, "Come back her quick, you little stick!" He turns back to Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua, "Don't eat the candy, it looks quite dandy but seems to make some people act.... madly." [Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem]

Ofelia horribly fails his charisma check!
Ofelia rolled a 97 against a 70 charisma.

Ofelia appears to be having a great deal of difficult keeping her temper in check, trying as she might to remain calm in the face of her predicament and flanked by her two awkward-looking guards. "What is going on is that I appear to be a man," she firstly answers. "And that I am wearing what looks like it must be made of paste and rat droppings," she spits out as disdain fully as if she had been forced to wear human skin, apparently about a gaudy brass anklet with five huge red glass gems. She forces a nigh absolutely unconvincing smile upon her face and then looks upon the rest of the gathering. "I am. In need. Of a priest," she enunciates as slowly as she can allow herself without dissolving into yelling and hysterics.

Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap slows to a stop once Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir has seemingly plucked a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose from Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina, his tall frame visibly distraught, face a bright, crimson red. Looking to the entrance as he spots Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua and Ofelia, he looks visibly conflicted for a moment before the previous situation seems to win over his attention. He attempts to assist in gathering up a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose against the Countess' grasp, and forces on a smile that betrays his previously neverous expression, "Let us go, Miss. Pond is waiting."

Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua eats a delectable-looking little chocolate bonbon.

Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir is, apparently, an amazon in red. With a deep alto grunt of pure effort she manages to separate a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose from Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina, straightening to her full height with the young Squire cradled in his arms. "Thank you, my lord," she sighs Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem's way, hair straggling free from her braid. "Please, take us to the pond so she'll calm down," he all but begs of Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap. "Oh, lord, Miss von Hartsong, you too... look, let's... let's all stick together... so that we have, perhaps, a -chance- at surviving this madness?"

[Action: a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose is being carried by Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, waving over his shoulder at Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina. ]

"Not a one of you is making any sort of sense," Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua comments with a raise of her brow. As she unconsciously unfolds her hand and reveals a chocolate bonbon apparently hidden therein and snacks upon the little delicacy, she observes, "A pond? We ought to see you all to a priest, yes?" [Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua]

A well built Farin with cyan eyes scoffs as he looks at the display of madness and is forced to say "What an embarassing sight, you should all be ashamed of yourselves"

[Action: a well built Farin with cyan eyes is leaned on the southern wall of the hall, arms crossed ]

Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem turns his head just in time to spy Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua popping the bonbon in her mouth, "Alessandra no! Spit it out quick because I say so! Don't eat the candy! It might make you woman or man, happy or randy!" He points to each of the afflicted in kind, "Come my dear listen to reason, now is the time and place for reason!"

Ofelia's grip on his? (Alas, evidently, it is 'his'.) parasol is knuckle-bleachingly tight. And as natural as he forces himself to act, the most exensive of acting pedigrees probably could not be enough for him to appear anything other than absolutely livid with the situation. In his too-short gown and under his complex, elaborate coif, he cuts a bizarre figure, albeit one who seems to be ready to follow instruction - at least after a small moment of wondering just who Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir is. He blinks once, then twice, and realization dawns. "Oh... My Lord..er..." he visibly hesitates. Apparently classical Vandagan courtesy does not extend to what one does in the face of gender switching. "Ah. Yes. Certainly," he eventually answers, apparently willing to follow whoever appears to best know what they are doing.

"Ahahhahahaha!" Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina cackles against Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem's arms, squirming and -- somehow -- managing to break free as she glances over her shoulder and gives the Tubori Baron a mischievous look before her feet are suddenly moving towards Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua, stopping as she gawks at Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir and a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose over the Lady Knight's shoulder. "Alessa," she says, her giggling dying down on her lips. "That girl will probably frak anyone who makes a half-pass at her right now, and Ariel and that tall fellow think it's a good idea to drag her off to the pond. Which 'maybe' it is? Also, you're looking -stunning-, my Lady dul Terani." The pink-dressed Countess leans in, trying to invade Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua's personal space to wrap an arm around the taller Vavardi noblewoman.

[Action: Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina is in the near-company of Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua. ]

Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina might well find herself wrapped around Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua's body, which disrupts the taller noblewoman's self-control just enough to lose control of a gassy tummy and expel a dainty, delicate fart. A look of pure embarrassment comes over her then, likely to be replaced by confusion--a combination of what was dawning after Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem's warning, since it's clear she didn't eat the chocolate with full conscious realization of her actions, as well as the registering of the smell. Fresh peach tarts, as though one were standing inside an artisinal bakery in Vavard City. The whole affair really leaves her quite speechless for a moment as her arms come to rest around a well built Farin with cyan eyes's shoulder. [Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua]

"Shut your insulting mouth," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir all but snarls at a well built Farin with cyan eyes, "in the presence of your betters. This is a -curse-, no one can help what's happening to them, and there is no cause for rudeness about it! Maybe... maybe we -should- go to the cathedral, instead of swimming, or... Lord, I can't think, too much is happening..." She closes her eyes for a moment, forcing herself to draw slow, steadying breaths. "We should definitely stay together," she concludes, on a frazzled exhalation. "...hey, what smells so delicious?" [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

[Action: Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua stands with her arms around a well built Farin with cyan eyes, looking confused and embarrassed. ]

Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina replies to you, "Either of the last two sounds fun!"

[Action: Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap is standing, flushed and confused, by Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir and a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose. ]

Ofelia fixes a look of deepest loathing upon a well built Farin with cyan eyes, before drawing in a deep breath through her nose and attempting to focus on something else. Like how he is not a man in a gown. [Hidden]

Rei ab Sevoi arrives from the west.
Rei ab Sevoi slows to a halt.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful arrives from the west with slow and quiet steps.
A small, sleek sable-ferret has arrived.
Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful slows to a halt.

A lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose swings her bare feet and calves in a lazy rhythm over the side of Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's forearm, fluttering her cotton hemline with one hand while the other palm remains perched over the Lady Savir's nape. She maintains a bright-eyed fixation on Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap, occasionally waving a hand or foot his way.

Ofelia reaches up to fix his hair, in a gesture apparently half borne from habit, and half simply attempting to find something to do to keep himself from beginning to shriek at the nearest bystander. "Why... what... wh-" he tries, tone unwilling to shift to any register other than 'unbearably whiny'. "How do we change it -back-?" She squeaks, with a petulant stomp of one of his slipper-clad feet on the ground.

"...Dear Lord I should have stayed home today..." Rei ab Sevoi utters as he scans the scene before him in disbelief, no single question managing to take hold of him as each person his eyes fall upon somehow manage to deepen the expression. [Rei ab Sevoi]

Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem licks his lips a moment emote seems to have given up all hope of trying to make sense folds his arms across his chest and pouts. "This isn't fair, I just want a chair," he grumbles a moment, still rhyming as he speaks, "And I prefer pear." He purses his lips and looks around a moment and shakes his head. Eyes flutter a few times as more people enter and finally he just moves his weight to stand out of the way near Ofelia, "You look like grandad, only more sad." [Hidden]

Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina's hand lifts up; she's suddenly looking a bit dazed as she leans against the tall figure of Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua, one arm wrapped around the gold-and-emerald clad noblewoman's waist. "Uhm..." she says slowly, blinking repeated as her nose makes a dainty sniff of the air. She swoons, slightly, a shudder passing throug her figure as her eyes vaguely try to focus on some point in front of her. Her pupils are suddenly very small, the vibrant color of her eyes -- pale green mixed with flecks of gold -- standing out all the more. "Uhm. Something. Smells like Peaches. ~ You ~ smell like peaches, Alessandra. Mm."

[Action: Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful stood by the entrance, a small, sleek sable-ferret perched upon her shoulder. ]

[Action: Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina is nudged up next to Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua, in an easy, fond hold. ]

Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap sputters abruptly at Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina's implication, his red-face reddening further as his eyes widen. Putting his hands out, palms towards her and Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua, he shakes his head vigorously, "Did not mean-- Do not mean. Is not-- Figured cool air would be--" He pauses abruptly, whimpers once more, turns his attention down to his feet, "Do not know what to do, now. Though would-- Will leave to noble to consider action." a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose's gesturing has him stepping towards her side, where he stands, waiting, his gaze darting furtively back and forth from person to person.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful stands at the door, looking around a little confused at having just walked into people seemingly unhappy about something.

A well built Farin with cyan eyes taps his foot as his urge to train depletes at the disgusting sight before him. a well built Farin with cyan eyes then tries to sight the presence of Rei ab Sevoi amongst the crowd

"Rei! Oh good lord," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir greets Rei ab Sevoi with a desperate, harried smile, drawing her lips tight. She raises her voice to shout: "We are going to the Cathedral, afflicted and non-afflicted alike! Anyone who is still themselves is welcome to come and help us look after those who are more... mentally afflicted. Thank you!" And she begins to march, with a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose, for the stairs. [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

"My Lord, with all of the respect I owe you and the delight I take in your company: I am currently taller than you and shall take no small delight in shoving my parasol so far up your backside any coming gust of wind will probably find the lift needed to fly you back away to St Helriem," Ofelia mildly observes, from where he stands at Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem's side, looking sulky underneath his parasol. [Ofelia]

[Action: Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua is definitely standing with Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina right now. ]

Action set to:
Ofelia is currently a tall man underneath a parasol, standing at Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem's side and looking sour-faced.

"No; no no," Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua answers quickly to a well built Farin with cyan eyes, straightening up a little bit and blushing pink. There is, undoubtedly, a renewal of the smell as it is refreshened about her. "The Cathedral, yes; shall we?" Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua asks of Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina, her immediate company, and those nearby. [Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua]

"Rei!" a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose cries out from Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's grasp, giving her slight frame a distinctly slippery wriggle. It may or may not be difficult to keep ahold of her, and her drop into dead weight is liable only to make those matters worse; far from impossible, but troublesome. "...Oh just look at how handsome he is. You just missed the most -amazing- party! There was a piglet handing out invitations and when I arrived, everyone was dancing and drinking honey mead. The horse played the flute and that man is my new best friend." More than likely still being hauled up the stairs, she points at Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful bows to the nobles in the room before asking with an unsure sounding voice "Would anyone mind filling me in what this affliction mentioned is?", she then looks at Ofelia a look of confusion as she sort of recognises this man but kind of doesn't.

Stares at Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap and back at a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose "This, right now is a gathering of crazies" a well built Farin with cyan eyes says still leaning on the wall [a well built Farin with cyan eyes]

Rei ab Sevoi coughs and raises a brow to the supposed Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir "I see... Yes the cathedral..." He manages, attention and concern stolen by a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose mid thought. "Squire ab Arlos what on Urth are you talking about and what happened to your clothes? If that last mage had anything to do with this I pray she wasn't strong enough to make it lasting."

Rei ab Sevoi eats a delectable-looking little chocolate bonbon.

A well built Farin with cyan eyes stares with a not-so-pleasant face at a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose and continues "And that surely is the chief"

Ofelia tries to force a prim, natural smile toward Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful. And it would indeed look so, were he not a very tall man in a too-short gown. "Miss dul Lutes. As you can see we have had a... misadventure with a..." he stops to think about the matter. "...how did that person get into my HOME?" He realizes with no small measure of horror.

"If you don't stop speaking so rudely, you -will- get lashed," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir shouts over her shoulder at a well built Farin with cyan eyes, though she doesn't pause. "Onward to the cathedral!" [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir furrows her brow in thought, mentally planning.
Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir begins to move west.

"No need to fret, I can find my way home without getting wet," Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem chuckles to Ofelia "Come lets go too, and perhaps get some stew." [Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem]

And shortly therafter, everyone finds themselves...

By the Altar
[Relatively Cool]
Bathed entirely in light from attenuated crystal chandeliers suspended
from the ceiling high above, this part of the church is wholly illuminated,
no corner left unto the shadows. In the front, directly north of the
Fountis Major, the altar seems uncharacteristically out of place--
fashioned of unadorned, white ash and reinforced around the edges with
tarnished bronze, the simple, rectangular object seems to have poorly
withstood the ages. Behind it stands a small tabernacle of solid gold, and
above it a large chalice of the same metal. Around the altar hang crimson
velvet curtains, allowing one to draw closed the area around the dais;
however, when not in use, they bunch together, tied off and securely
harnessed to the wall. On both sides of the aisle directly in front of the
room are lavish oaken pews replete with soft cushions, clearly roped off by
thick red cords. Behind them are numerous additional pews, equally
serviceable but lacking any soft comfort.

In the last year:
(The area has been thoroughly and meticulously cleaned, including the
chandeliers. )

Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap slows to a halt.

Ofelia tries so, so very hard not to throw a full tantrum as he walks alongside Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem. "But I am a -man- and my dress fits ill and this... THIS!" He squeals, pushing a foot out to show the gaudy piece of jewelry trapping his ankle. His bottom lip quivers and both hands hold a tight-knuckled grip upon his parasol's handle as he struggles as he might not to burst into tears right then and there. "And you said I looked like your grandfather."

A lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose traces fingertips over Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's shoulder as she's carried along, marveling at the fabric that coats the curve. She's pretty well distracted, a condition lasting all the way from the training hall to the altar. No answer to Rei ab Sevoi is forthcoming -- not on Park Street, not during their journey, and not in the cathedral. Bright eyes with hugely dilated pupils watch him over the same shoulder she's examining, however, while she remains blessedly -- temporarily? -- silent.

"Believe me, lass," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir oddly addresses Ofelia in crisp soprano tones as they walk, "I -quite- understand what's troubling you. I am finding it quite difficult to re-learn how to walk. But we have to make the best of it. At least we have our faculties, unlike... ah, well, the poor Squire, for example." Glancing down at a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose as she maneuvers between pews, she aims to settle her down near the back. "I should have made sure to find her clothing... good lord, man!" she shouts at a well built Farin with cyan eyes. "Are you deaf? She. Is. Cursed!" [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua walks in at a careful distance from the others, hands held tight in a grip before her. Ofelia's outbursts ground that embarrassment a touch, and she joins that small group with a fresh waft of peach pastries. "I will have someone sent for to deal with this... thing on your ankle. If it cannot slip off, a careful hand and tool can cut it off."

"Perhaps you should show some respect for the temporar...." Rei ab Sevoi's brief attempt to scold is interrupted by a sudden wince of pain. His back arches uncomfortably as he appears to develop a tail and the ears to match it. Whatever he was planning on saying, the thought appears well and truly lost to him now. [Rei ab Sevoi]

Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua shifts uncomfortably, attempting to pass wind as quietly as she might but falling a touch short of silent. A new wafting of the peach-tart scented smell arrives. [Hidden]

Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap certainly didn't remove his vest as he approaches Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir and a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose. Drawing his cloak from his back as he makes his way to the pair, he holds it out to the carried woman and smiles at her easily, "Here, would like wear? Is not as heavy or hot as looks. Fur comes from Plains, is very soft." After a brief pause, he calls out to the others at the altar, though his voice doesn't raise to the point of rudeness, "Am offer, now, can go get food or drink for anyone, if will make more damfawdafwe--" He cuts himself off, abruptly, as Rei ab Sevoi seemingly grows a tail and set of ears. His eyes widen, his mouth drops a bit, and he clears his throat.

"The tongue in my head is twisted and turned like a braided loaf of bread. I can only speak in rhyme, most of the time," Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem explains to his associate, "And my thoughts are quite worse, when everything comes out in verse. What you saw as sleight, I saw as discussion, try as I might." He presses a thumb to his temple, "Don't eat the candy lest you get handsy. This simple saying does more than praying, yet no one listens to the man who won't glisten." [Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem]

Ofelia's most recent outburst appears to have calmed him down some and he draws in a deep, sniffly breath. He eventually does nod to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, however, upset but not so much so that he cannot see the truth in the Noblewoman's words. He does happen to level a distinctly concerned glance toward a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose after. "Why is... what..." He expels a frustrated huff. "UGH! There is no answering any of this. Who was that woman and how did she get into my house. How did she do any of this? It is stupid and awful and horrid but how is a witch so powerful?" He squeaks with a distinct note of upset. He looks over toward Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua and manages a small, distraught smile. "Thank you, Your Ladyship."

A lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose is settled down over a rear pew with remarkable ease, attempting only once to make a lazy swipe for Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's blouse sleeve. The flush heat of her cheek is pressed down over the cool wood of the pew, and she pulls her bare legs up into the loose drape of her chemise, creating a dainty ball out of herself. She tangles her fingers into her very loose and uncovered hair and closes her eyes. That a hand lifts to gratefully accept the cloak from Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap is at least a hopeful sign of decline. She huddles beneath the furs and hums to herself, bobbing one bare foot in time with the music she's ostensibly joining.

Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap gives a large, fitted black fur cloak to a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful enters into the room, marching over to Ofelia before bowing to the nobles in the room "With respect mister... I'm afraid I don't know your name but regardless... It's quite rude to begin speaking to someone and then walk off without finishing... and also how in blazes do you know my name?"

A lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose wears a large, fitted black fur cloak about her body.

"You're doing very well," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir compliments Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem with a rather hassled sort of smile. Glancing to Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap, she half-asks, half-states, "Can you just make sure that the Squire is... that everything is... all right in that matter? You seem a trustworthy fellow, and I - good Lord!" She stares, wide-eyed, at Rei ab Sevoi's new appendages. "What is happening," she practically wails, throwing her hands up in dismay. "And why is everyone eating chocolates? And why do I smell peaches?" [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

"The chocolates," Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua answers Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir quickly, "Seem to bear the curse. I... didn't even realize I was eating them against the Baron le Paraji's warning." She waits nervously, watching over Rei ab Sevoi's transformation with concern. Ofelia's pale eyes flit over toward Rei ab Sevoi, both hands still firmly clasped around the handle of his parasol. Apparently, he feels safer while the brightly coloured fabric is up above him. He lets out a distinctly unmanly squeak at the sight of the tail and steps back, colliding sidelong into Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem quite powerfully, apparently without much thought to his less-dainty-than-usual form.

Rei ab Sevoi's new ears twitch before he tilts his head ever so briefly. "Ariel." He states in a tone far too even and measured for the predicament. "What in the Lords name is going on, why are you a woman and why..." His ears perk up as his tone picks up ever so slightly. "Why do I look like two different dolls a child has sewn together to make a new one?"

At Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's request, Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap nods his head, pulls his attention away from Rei ab Sevoi, and takes in a deep breath, settling himself down into the pew aside a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose. Pulling his sack free of his back, he begins rummaging around in a small pocket, and pulls a handful of fresh-looking nuts free. "Here, just picked before coming into city, earlier," he says aside to a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose, a worried, tired-looking smile marking his face. "The chocolates seem to bear the curse," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir repeats Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua's words with a thoughtful nod. She looks calm, if one doesn't consider the width of her eyes. "All right. Fair. And for me and presumably, ah, Miss von Hartsong, it was these anklets... I've seen cursed jewelry before, back in 356, but it wasn't quite like this... I don't -know- what's going on, Rei, I'm just trying to figure things out!" She shuts her eyes tightly, fists clenching at her sides. "Bloody Arien," the woman swears. "I forgot how -awful- corsets are." [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua succeeds her charisma check!

A lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose pops upright, humming drawing to a sudden silence. She looks down at the foraged edibles in Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap's palm and seems to seriously consider them -- considers something, at least, the definition of 'what' unknown. The furred cloak slides down the outside of her shoulder as she goes bonelessly limp, sliding her body on down off the pew onto the floor. From there she hits hands and knees, and goes crawling between Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap's boots -- quick; quicker than she has any right to be, in fact. "The fountis has water..." is murmured conspiratorially as she crawls along, headed for the aisle; from there, should she get that far, she starts making a rapidly crawling beeline for the fountis, trying to stand without slowing down.

Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem barely escapes being plowed into but the act of dodging causes him to lose his balance and fall to the ground. Looking up he blushes, "Men wear skirts, this I know, but when we do it isn't for show. From down here it seems, you have way too many seams. Do take off that garter, you will be happier than Casper's Daughter

Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap horribly fails his dexterity check!

Burying a giggle well beneath a smirk, Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua offers to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, "I don't think anyone would mind if you were to loosen it." There's a last gurgle from her stomach, and without any resurgence of the scent, she begins to look vaguely hopeful about it. Anything she might have said further is quelled at the distraction of the chemise-clad a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose making a break for it. "Absolutely not," Ofelia offendedly huffs, upsetly gripping his parasol. "I will not... I cannot.. I -refuse-. I am -not- a man and I am not. changing!" He declares, with a single, petulant stomp of his foot. He reaches up to huffily fix his - admittedly still luxuriant - hair. "Besides it is not..." he carefully searches for his words, before mumbling, "...comfortable, outside of a gown." [Ofelia]

Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap seems to panic, for a moment, as he watches a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose draw from the pew onto the ground. Finding nothing else immediately near to throw the nuts, he tosses the handful into his mouth, jumps up from where he sits, and attempts to follow along after her. His chase ends abruptly, however, when his foot makes contact with the back of the cloak the crawling woman wears and - as his dexterous-looking frame apparently fails him - sends him crashing down onto the ground beside her. Reaching out to grab at the material, at least, he attempts to hold her still. "Just wait Miss--" he manages out after half-choking on the nuts he had been chewing, "Please. Will take to pond once things are more calm."

Ofelia has rounded upon Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful, quite upsetly making his feelings known.

A well built Farin with cyan eyes taps the shoulder of Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap once more

Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir casts a surreptitious glance one way, and then the other. Then he bows his head, fingers seeking out the laces of his underbust corset. The lady clearly knows her way around such things, unknotting the corset quickly and breathing in to allow herself a little more slack before retying. As such, he misses a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose's sinuous attempt to make a break for it, too busy fiddling with his attire. "Why couldn't they have bought me something simpler?" she whines. The question of 'forgetting', however, is loftily ignored.

A lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose's hem is caught by Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap, and though it doesn't stop her in the standard sense, it trips her up midway through standing and sends her toppling down onto her elbows. A bare foot waggles out a barely-threatening kick that's neither aimed at Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap or specifically intended to miss him. Right up the aisle of the cathedral she digs both elbows and knees into the carpet, struggling to army-crawl her way to the fountis. "You... said..." she grumbles and huffs, increasingly breathless the more she strains to drag herself onward, "...we could... swim..."

"I f.el s. much... better," Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua murmurs to herself, before looking up at the insanity flying around. "A curse, my lord," Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua answers to Rei ab Sevoi with a shake of her head, collecting herself from stating the obvious to add, "Mischief. I noticed a small candy in my hand before and couldn't help but eat it. It... I imagine most of the rest of us have dealt with the same, minus the Baron and Royal Chamberlain." [Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua]

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful steps back, shocked at the outburst from Ofelia "M... mistress? I..." she then looks shocked "Wait a..." looking away for a moment she says to noone in particular "Cursed... does that mean..?" looking back at Ofelia she asks with a hint of worry in her voice "Miss von Hartsong?"

Ofelia succeeds his charisma check!
Ofelia rolled a 59 against a 70 charisma.

Ofelia straightens as dignifiedly a he can, one hand raising to give a showy pat at the back of his complicated updo while he calms down. "Yes, Miss dul Lutes," he finally answers, making a notably quick transition from furiously screeching back to poised propriety. "I am terribly sorry for the outburst. But you must understand," he manages a small, serene-enough smile. "This is terribly frustrating. As I am certain the Baron of Savir could also attest to," he observes, with a natural wave of his hand toward Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir.
He appears to be a master at performing.

Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem clambers to his feet, "'Twas just a suggestion, to help release the aggression. Strange parts added that you now have need to be... padded." He smiles at Ofelia and then takes a deep breath speaking to Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful in the long practiced rhyme, "We all at some candy that turned us into man, woman, happy, and randy. Now it seems we also have gassy and kitty to our list of aliments and none of them to have seem to have the availments."

"Do know said could swim," Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap says, gruffly, as he seems to lose his voice somewhat and his command of the Lithmorran language with it, "But-- not in Cathedral, is not good place for it." Hopping up onto his feet, then, the lithe man rushes forward in an attempt to block a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose's path and place his hands on her shoulders, "Okay, do listen, is important. Let us sit for bit, relax, then will take swimming at pond, and will let swim for however long want. Will swim with, too, all day, and can give ride back to city on horse afterward. How does sound?" [Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap]

[Action: Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap is attempting to block a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose's progress as she crawls. ]

Ofelia blushes a deep crimson at Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem's assertions and subtly clears his throat. [Hidden]

A well built Farin with cyan eyes looks at a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose crawling and asks "Lost control of your legs?"

Ofelia thinks to himself, "Oh Lord. Save me from this... this."

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful looks to the floor, blushing from embarrassment "Oh arien now I'm embarrassed..." she then looks back up and attempt to re-compose herself. [Hidden]

"Aye, this is just all terribly uncomfortable," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir laments her agreement with Ofelia, smoothing down her rumpled clothing as she straightens. "Just a bloody inconvenience, it all is. And I spent twelve gold on a dress that, Lord willing, I will only have to wear for a day or two at most. Master Shannon?" is called Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap's way; the woman casts a glance toward him and a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose, gaze blocked somewhat by the pews. "Do you have everything under control or do you need a little help?" [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Ofelia thinks to himself, "The trousers did not even -fit-."

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful nods to Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem before lowering her head to Ofelia "My deepest apologies Miss von Hartsong... I shall make sure to keep myself better... composed next time." she then looks around, worried "So... some kind of cursed food did this... I'm going to.. go out on a limb and say I assume noone has yet to work out a cure? Where did you find these candies? Perhaps some clues might be there?"

A lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose's attempts to keep barreling forward are flatly interrupted by Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap's effective barrier. She continues to strain, shoulders pushing up firm into his hands, for several moments -- only when she comprehends that she hasn't been moving for ages does she stop, fixating on Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap's eyes. A faint thread of suspicion emerges, and a furrow appears between her brows. "Help!" is shouted, perhaps inspired by hearing the word uttered by Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir. Regardless, she rolls herself up onto her knees and leans a shoulder into Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap, apparently requiring no help of any variety. For the first time she slants a direct look to a well built Farin with cyan eyes. Her eyes narrow. "Lost control of your FACE?" is demanded, though she quickly bursts into drowsy giggles. She's definitely winding down, her desperate quest for the Fountis perhaps her last.

"Would that there were some clues. I was quite empty handed before finding my hand filled with one. And they're... very difficult to resist eating, even with forewarning," Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua mentions in an aside to Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful. A few steps out from to the center of the aisle affords her a better look at what's going on Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap and a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose's way. [Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua]

Ofelia expressively crinkles his nose, apparently with a lost thought. "Ugh. I do not even wish to think about changing the entirety of my wardrobe if this is - Lord forbid it - is permanent," he confesses with a soft sigh. He looks down at himself, slippers and be-stocking-ed legs poking out from the too-short hem of his gown. His eyes flit over toward Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem, aggression apparently tamed for the time being. Yes, well.." he awkwardly observes, a faint hint of pink on his nape and at his ears. "I shall think of how to deal with my newfound impropriety if this proves to last forever."

A well built Farin with cyan eyes bows at right angle towards Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua and says "I would like to take my leave and I wish" a well built Farin with cyan eyes stops for a minute, looks at everyone and back at Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua and continues "Everyone a speedy recovery"

[Action: a well built Farin with cyan eyes is heading opposite the altar ]

The sudden call for help has Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap's eyes widening abruptly, though the woman's sudden shift from shouting to leaning against him has him relaxing for a brief moment. Tensing once more, he - for the first time - easily takes the weight of the woman and goes entirely still, content to allow her to lean against him until she tries to move once more. Looking back to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, the Charali bows his head in the woman's direction, even if he can't see her fully, and calls out, "Do think are okay-- Thank you, Miss." Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua's gaze is met with his own bright green eyes, and he bows his head towards her slightly, visibly embarassed. [Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap]

"Everything was going to be terrible forever if I didn't eat it." Rei ab Sevoi states with a firm nod, ears dipping just a -little- further once his head stops and with more certainty than he gives even his own name. "There is only one thing for that really..." He adds with a pause to chew on his tongue somewhat. "I'm sure you can see how the story turned out." [Rei ab Sevoi]

"Fresh air against your .earrier," Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem says then swallows the last bit of the compelled last line. He takes in a breath and leans against a pew, "This will all pass, much like her gas," he gestures to Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua, "And when it is done we can hopefully remember the fun." [Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem]

Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua spares Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem a cross look at that mention before turning her head to speak on a different matter. [Hidden]

"There must be -some- clues. I should don my armor and go out hunting for this witch, but... it really wouldn't fit well, and I've nothing to wear beneath it..." Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir frets her irritation, a black scowl tightening her lips. The shout for help that a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose looses has her tensing, gathering her skirts and hurrying out from between the pews - just in time to see her sass a well built Farin with cyan eyes. A slight grin twitches at one corner of her lips. "Aye, it looks like you have the issue well in hand. I will forgive the liberties, given the, ah, the situation," she assures Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap, "and I'm sure the Squire will too, once she is herself again." [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Ofelia wrings his hands about the handle of a jaunty silken parasol, embroidered with floral patterning, his occasional still occasionally shifting toward sullenly miserable. "I am not having fun," he petulantly opines to Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem, upsetly settling into his resignation. He reaches up and pinches the bridge of his angular nose hard between his eyes. "So.. the witch was in my home and gave me the anklet I... suppose My Lord itw as something similar for yourself?" She asks after Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, trying as best as she can to occupy her thoughts with some sort of hunting for clues. "Then it is all chocolates and the need to eat them..." he mutters softly to himself, chewing on a pillowy bottom lip. He glances down at his ankle and at a gaudy brass anklet with five huge red glass gems upon it. "...I -had- to put it on. I recall that. Had to. It was the most wonderful thing in the world..." he says, before expressively crinkling his nose. "Either this is a powerful witch or I had temporarily taken leave of my senses. What is it even -made- of?"

"The same sort of drive as we experienced with the chocolates... what could there even be to gain from such an attack as this? They're mad..." Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua murmurs, giving a shiver at Ofelia's recounting of the mage being in her home. [Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua]

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful lets out a little sigh as she looks around at the bunch who are certainly not having th best of days "I see... this certainly does not seem good... hopefully it might be as simple as time will make it ware off... now this will seem like a very stupid question but have you tried removing the anklet?" she asks.

Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem nods in agreement, "A woman clad in gold but not too old. Dark hair and eyes, she offered me a prize." He purses his lips and sighs against as his blue irises flit between Ofelia, Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua, and Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir.

For the fourth and final time, a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose curls into a vaguely cotton-coated ball and compounds her head with Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap's shoulder. Her overly-bright eyes drift heavy and shut. There's a deep breath that inflates her chest and escapes over a long, immensely drowsing moment; her weight gets a little heavier, and that appears to be that. Deeply asleep, there'll be no more moving for awhile.

"It..." Ofelia sighs softly, pushing his foot out from under the too-short line of his dress and showing where the anklet has apparently bonded to his very leg, brass-to-silk-to-flesh. He indicates it to Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful. "It has no desire to budge, no," he confesses with a sad sigh, looking back over toward Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem and offering a small nod. "Yes, gold clad, dark hair..." he frowns. "I was not really paying attention," he embarrassedly admits. "I simply wanted the jewel." A small, annoyed squint is given to the offending item, as if it ought to feel shame itself for forcing her to wear it. [Ofelia]

"I don't remember much, except a smile and the anklet just being in my hand, and... aye, the same mad, total desire to wear it, as if I couldn't go one minute longer without doing so, despite how -plain- it clearly is. Then I - changed," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir shudders at the memory. "Very disconcerting to say the least. But I... I suppose I should go patrol the city, see if other people are in difficulty and point them here. I can more or less do my Knightly work still - more easily than others," she appends, with an apologetic grimace toward the tail-wearing Rei ab Sevoi. "Gold, dark hair and eyes... that's helpful, thank you, my Lord," is added for Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem, as she picks her way down the church's aisle. "All right. I'll be back later, I'll try to send others here." [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

"Do have my thanks," Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap says to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, more quietly this time, as a lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose seems to be lapses into sleep. Carefully, the Charali lowers himself onto his knees and keeps straight, unmoving in an attempt to not wake the sleeping squire with his movements. Whatever worry or exhaustion seems to fade from his features abruptly, and he looses a long, relieved sigh. As the conversation continues on around him, he looks from Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua to Ofelia curiously, content to listen. [Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap]

"Gold clad, dark hair? I've seen no such culprit," Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua mentions with a darkening of her expression. It follows Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's gaze to Rei ab Sevoi, and she gives a small shake of her head. "This is a day well and truly odd. We might," here she turns to encompass Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem and Ofelia as well, "See if a priest's blessing might have some effect? My own... curse passed quickly, though." [Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua]

"If it came down to it I'll have an easier time getting into my armor that you'll have getting into yours." Rei ab Sevoi remarks with a huff, ears flopping over as his crossed arms hit his chest. "I could hear more things too, probably." He adds, clearly still trying to be in a huff, though his current appearance does not augment seriousness. [Rei ab Sevoi]

A lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose begins to move south.

A lissome strawberry blonde with a freckled nose leaves south.

Long-practiced courtesy kicks in for Ofelia and he dips in what is a terribly smooth curtsey, for a man, at Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's departure. "My Lord," he expresses to him as he departs, before straightening again in his silks. He expels another deep sigh, rubbing the bridge of his nose and looking about. "We will... we really do need a priest, I think. I've not the first idea what one -does- when afflicted by a curse, save prayer and bathing." [Ofelia]

Ofelia thinks to himself, "So much bathing. If this stays I will never get out of my bath again."

"You have -my- thanks, Master Shannon, and I'll remember your help," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir calls over her shoulder to Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap on her way out. "Yes, well," she laughs to Rei ab Sevoi, "people will have an easier time trusting a lady Knight than a Knight with a tail, my lord ab Sevoi. Keep a watch over everyone, mm?" Heels click as she departs. "And Lord bless and help us all..." [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

"I can only say. I am sorry for the way, I must convey," Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem says with a frustrated blush, "Perhaps I should go... I do no know. Linger here a bit, for a little bit of merriment?" He watches the people leave and shrugs, "Pastries and coffee, made a little naught." [Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem]

[Action: Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem stands speaking with the others as best he can. ]

With the woman fast asleep, Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap manages to carry her aside to a safe resting place before he rises to his feet, takes in a long, deep breath, and reaches up to pull his helmet free, his moment of indecency followed by a draw of his fingers back through his long red hair. With his charge settled, he immediately makes his way over to an empty pew, sits down upon it, and leans forward, his hands pressing against his face as he catches his breath. [Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap]

[Action: Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap sits on a pew, tiredly, with his face buried in his hands. ]

"As the Chamberlain mentioned, I think it best to wait for a priest's blessing before bathing. I don't think I'm the only one that will have their baths occupied for the next few days straight," Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua mentions. Again to Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem she mentions, "We two have been fortunate to avoid the worst of things. My lord, Lady Chamberlain, is there something we might send for, to make you more comfortable while we wait?" [Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua]

Ofelia wrings his hands about his parasol, looking rather as if he could use a stiff drink, in lieu of coffee in pastries. "I wonder if the Order Vaults contain any acohol..." he wonders, mostly to himself. "I am too sober to deal with this..." he adds with a little bit of a grumble.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful reach into my pockets, an inquisitive look on my face before pulling out a chocolate. She stares at it for a moment or two before suddenly smiling happily and eating it.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful eats a delectable-looking little chocolate bonbon.

"I wouldn't mind taking a stroll perhaps, now that I am no longer firebound... Though the bath does sound quite tempting as well..." Rei ab Sevoi muses, chewing his tongue just a little as he thinks them over. "Though I'm at a loss what sounds better really." [Rei ab Sevoi]

"Perhaps we can ask, if they can share a cask?" Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem offers to Ofelia then looks over to Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua and just smiles at her gently. He is about to say something when he spies Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful eat her candy and exclaims, "frak a Duck!" [Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem]

Ofelia is also too late to stop Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful and lifts a hand, "Miss dul Lutes do n-" he squeaks, before letting his hand disappointedly drop back to his side. "Oh... shit," he sighs. His hand unconsciously comes back up to curl with the other about the handle of his parasol, and he warily observes the other young woman, uncertain what to expect.

Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua Well that exclamation stops any semblance of a response she might have had for Ofelia or Rei ab Sevoi then. She turns in shock, mostly at the language but definitely in part at the sight of the last of the bonbon disappearing into Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful's mouth.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful cants her head to Ofelia and Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem "What?" she asks, seemingly oblivious to what she's done.

Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap rises to his feet after his brief respite, his fingers running back through his hair once more before he replaces his helmet and turns back towards those gathered. "If any would like to stay," he starts, his Lithmorran returning to its previous - if broken - proficiency, "Would be honor to ride and get." Looking to Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua, Ofelia, and Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem, his attention turns to Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful as she eats her chocolate, and the Charali takes another breath, "Am glad do not like chocolate, if is only small blessing."

[Action: Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap idles near an empty pew. ]

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful looks around at the group of people confused before suddenly twisting her expression into a look of disgust at Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua "What in...? Eww..." she then continues lookign at everyone else, very confused before her eyes run over Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap and she suddenly blushes "M-mister kheit did... did you do something with your hair or...?"

"Oy..." Rei ab Sevoi utters, his ears drooping as his shoulders slump. "The chocolates are how we ended up in this mess... Looks like another one for Ariel to add on to the report." He says as he straightens himself out, glancing over the crowd soon after. "The walk will have to wait until we know what is happening to her." [Rei ab Sevoi]

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful continues blushing as she whispers "Goodness he's shaped up fo. the better... oh my..." [Hidden]

Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina arrives from the south.
Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina slows to a halt.

Ofelia leans just a hint forward underneath is parasol and curiously eyeballs Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful. "..how... are you feeling, Miss dul Lutes?" He simply wonders, looking on warily as he searches for signs of just what the candy might have done to the other woman. He glances between the Vavardi gentrywoman and Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap. He politely averts her eyes and unsubtly hides her expression behind a jaunty silken parasol, embroidered with floral patterning.

Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem sighs as he shakes his head. It seems that his last out burst is enough to silence him for the time being. His eyes do watch intently though, patiently waiting to see what will happen.

Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua That expression of disgust causes a raise of her brow, but it's far more curious than anger--she saw the chocolate get eaten after all, and she offers to Rei ab Sevoi, "Another like the Squire, perhaps. Em, that is, less so her hallucinations, at least."

"Oh oh!" Rei ab Sevoi exclaims, trying to suppress his excitement as he cautiously tugs on Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua's sleeve. "Someone's here Lady dul Terani look! It's Lady dul Baildana that's here that's whose arrived right now." He rattles off rapidly before biting down hard on his own tongue. [Rei ab Sevoi]

Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap's freckled face goes a vivid crimson once more as he very clearly hears Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful's whisper, his right hand immediately jerking up to grab at the auburn hair that runs down to his neck from beneath his helmet. "Did do something to--" he asks, though he cuts himself off as realization washes over him and he drops his arms to his sides and clears his throat. Bowing towards the gentrywoman, he rises and shakes his head, doing his best to answer normally, though his red-face betrays whatever normalcy he might convey, "N-no, Miss Lutes. Did not do anything to hair, recently. Is... Are feeling alright?"

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful looks back at the group, her expression suddenly turning to dread "Oh arien I've ballsed up..." she then blushes at her language in front of such high profile people "Oh umm sorry... sorry..." she looks up to Ofelia, grimacing a little "M... miss von Hartson... I'm afraid I have to say... I don't think those clothes suit you very much anymore... you're not as pretty as you once were..."

Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina's entrance into the Cathedral is marked by the arrival of a swish of pale pink silks underneath a gown cinched by a dainty bow over the bust. She's small -- barely five-feet if even that, and moves in with a tired look about her. At Rei ab Sevoi's exclamation pointing her out she winces, visiually pained by the fellow's excitement as her slippered feet carry her directly towards Lady Alessandra dul Terani, Countess of Capua. "Is everything going well, Lady dul Terani? My Lords, ah.. Miss Chamberlain."

[Action: Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap idles near an empty pew, his freckled face crimson red. ]

Ofelia blinks once at Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful, then twice, and then an angry, beet-red flush rises to colour the entirety of his face. "I.. how.. who in the.." he sputters, at an uncharacteristic loss in composure. "WHO THE ARIEN DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!" He yells, and the man-sized lungs send his voice bouncing off the highest reaches of the Cathedral's cavernous ceiling. He collects the side of his dress and immediately makes to storm out in a huff, awkward-looking guards continuing to close ranks in his wake as he storms through the pews in his pretty, pretty dress.

Lord Bertrand le Pajari, Baron of St-Helriem looks to say something to Ofelia as she storms out but just turns to Lady Farra dul Baildana, Countess Hevstina abs shrugs, "About the same, but out of the rain. How fair you, better I hope, I don't think Ariel wants to be taken in a pew."

Ofelia ponders possible routes.
Ofelia settles upon the best route to Church Square:

Wherein Dudefelia becomes Dragfelia, and braves the Queen's Commons...

l self
Raven hair in an elaborately girly coif crowns the head of this tall,
finely-limbed man of evident Vandagan extractions. His visage is an
amalgamation of notably sharp features, mingled with contrastingly pillowy
turns, and he looks upon the world with softly canted, crystalline blue
eyes. A trim figure, he seems to be all long-limbs encased in a delicate
package.

And a fancy dress.

It appears as if the greater part of a make up cabinet has been applied
to him, his masculine features deliberately softened by powders, rouge and
kohl.

Ofelia opens the western door.
Ofelia leaves west trying as best as he can to hide underneath a jaunty silken parasol, embroidered with floral patterning. Ofelia arrives from the east trying as best as he can to hide underneath a jaunty silken parasol, embroidered with floral patterning. Queen's Inn and Tavern
[Cozy]
A keyhole shaped doorway with a solid oak door bars the most notorious
tavern in Lithmore from the rest of the world. Wooden tables, carefully
cared for and of fine craftsmanship, neatly arrange themselves throughout
the main floor space where travelers and locals, both rich and poor alike,
mingle for the sake of being close to history and fame. A long wooden bar,
polished with years of spills and elbow-grease, separates the custom from
painted wooden racks of various liquors and a doorway leading into the
kitchens. The scents of staple Lithmorran fare waft from there at all
hours.

Lysander, a tall, mutton-chopped bartender, rubs down the bar with a rough rag. [App: 3]
Remi has arrived.
Iphigenie has arrived.
Your mount does not cross the threshold.
Ofelia has arrived.

"It's been alright.. Serlok, no!" Tobius le Darrow replies and then barks as he tumbles out of his chair as he jumps up as he sees the man chomp down his chocolate. [Tobius le Darrow]

"You're-" Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's interrupted in her conversation by Tobius le Darrow's sudden gesture, the woman leaping deftly to her feet and rounding on Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard in a flurry of red. "Oh, no, not him too?" she asks of Tobius le Darrow, pursing her lips into a tight, displeased line. "Bloody Arien, when is it going to stop?" [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful sighs a little "If you'll excuse me a moment..." she says rising out of her chair and approaching Ofelia, bowing her head with an embarrassed look on her face "Miss von Hartsong... I would wish to offer my sincerest apologies for earlier. Due to... reasons beyond my control I acted in a very un-ladylike way and made a completel... if you'll excuse my language tit of myself."

"How's y'night been, Miss Lutes?" Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard answers Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful's concerned statement easily. He winks towards Tobius le Darrow with the man's rambunctious response to his chocolate chugging, "Mmh..?" He answers the Reeve readily, licking his lips, "..Damn that was good. I jes got it up from Tonia's place. Been buyin' extra chocolates from 'roundabout there," He answers easily. His stool jumps a bit as his feet leave pegs to set to moving... And he just hops on down to keep the jig afoot. He tilts his head, quizzical, towards Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, "Miss, I could -swear- I've seen y'around 'afore," There's a faint rumple to his brow with that: Apparently he's rather more interested in who the heck that lass may be than his state of dance. Perhaps he'd already been set to drinking before he bothered with that tankard of ale that Lysander handed off to him. [Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard]

A tall young lady with deep green eyes looks rather perplexed at the goings on around her. "what's wrong with the chocolates?"

Ofelia wanders in as subtly as he possibly can, given that he is currently a tall man in a bright dress. He sidles away from the door and over toward one of the out-of-the-way tables, keeping most of the top half of himself obscured by his bright parasol. It is a long, long beat before he eventually lowers the brightly coloured fabric, looking up at Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful with a sheepish expression on his painted face. "Miss dul Lutes I am most embarrased, I really should apologize," he expresses, deep voice at odds with his overtly feminine mannerisms. "I.. truly. I knew you were cursed too, I was absolutely shameful of me to act in such an uncouth way..." he says, fiddling softly with the handle of his parasol. "I only wish I could buy you a drink to apologise but er.. it would appear the bank is not quite convinced that I am who I say I am," he ends on a sour note.

Ofelia moves towards the north.
Ofelia has reached his target.

"Does not seem is going to stop soon," Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap says aside to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, apparently unbothered by the sudden interest in chocolates, as he makes his way over to a tall young lady with deep green eyes. He offers the former woman his best attempt at a bow, but his package seems to be rather cumbersome. Strapped to his side with leather, the Charali carries what seems to be large chunks of meat wrapped in deer skin, "Should have some rabbit and deer for you, miss. Can take a look, if would like, and will carve meat into smaller piece if need?" [Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap]

Action set to:
Ofelia is sitting at a table out of the way, still looking salty about being a man.

Seeing that Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir and Tobius le Darrow's attention have been diverted elsewhere, a tall young lady with deep green eyes turns and smiles at Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap. "Oh thank you so much!," she says brightly.

"It's my lady," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir snaps at Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard after a moment, folding her arms across her chest. "And... I hope for your sake that chocolate really -did- come from Tonia's. Because," and now she's asiding to a tall young lady with deep green eyes as well, "there is an absolute epidemic of curses sweeping the city, most of them involving chocolates that seem to have some sort of... magical content. Miss von Hartsong," she greets the rather masculine Ofelia, lips twitching as she gets a glance at all that makeup. "You, ah. Are you rather sure you wouldn't be more comfortable in trousers?" [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

[Action: Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap stands beside a tall young lady with deep green eyes with a package of meat strapped to his side. ]

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful nods to Ofelia "It is quite alright miss. You needn't worry." she then smiles softly "If it makes things better, when you're your normal self you are a very pretty woman. And your clothing is lovely."

A tall young lady with deep green eyes smiles at Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap and says, "if you'll give me a moment? I am midinterview for my position at the physicians' guild."

[Action: Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard is dancing a trim little jig, ostensibly of his own accord. ]

Tobius le Darrow looks curiously over to Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard and then to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, "I... don't know?" He nods in agreement with Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir towards Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, "Aye, Serlok, I can't feel my clothes just the now. It's... very strange." He just watches the jig done by Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard and shakes his head, "I think you may be mistaken, mate."

A tall young lady with deep green eyes turns her attention back to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir and says respectfully, "Are there any other question for me my lady?"

"Ah, of course, do apologize, did not mean to interrupt," Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap says to a tall young lady with deep green eyes before he turns back to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir and hows his head, "Do have apology as well, My Lady. Was seeking Physician position myself, until recently. Miss Emilline is very good student, can attest, and have not seen stop working since have met. Do not know if recommend mean much come from me, but do give it, if it does." [Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap]

Ofelia reaches up to awkwardly fiddle with an ever-unruly - even in this form, apparently - lock of hair. He does, however, try his absolute best to direct a natural-looking smile toward Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir. "Ah.. er... I think that I would rather not," he awkwardly confesses, and while he does cut a substantially ridiculous figure as a man in an ill-fitting gown, it appears that he is intent on holding onto whatever small parts of his original self as he can. "Your gown is.. very beautiful, however," he adds, falling back underneath the security blanket of habitual courtesies. "I.. do not think I am quite up to making the switch." He then looks over toward Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful and even manages an appreciative smile. "That is very kind of you to say, Miss dul Lutes. I do hope that you are feeling better, yourself?"

Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard "Ah. I do agree with that philosophy; I don't tend t'feel m'clothes while in Ladies' company, either. A seafoam eye flashes in a sultry wink towards Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir with that claim, echoed after. His jig twirls him on along towards that lady in question, flashing in some surprisingly capable sorts of steps. "Really, I don't think you're mistaken. What're yah done doin' sittin' on y'arse there, anyway?" His snappy steps definitely seem dead set upon carrying the man right on over -- and into Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir. There's a distinctively surprised set that takes to his brow as he doesn't slow, "Aaaah, curses you say?" Is lilted off a degree higher than before.

"No, no, I'll approve," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir sighs to a tall young lady with deep green eyes, shaking her head. "I don't have the focus to ask much more of you right now, honestly. So you have my backing, Miss dul Cross." A dark brow arches in Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap's direction. "Seeking until recently? Does that mean you gave up?" She smoothes down her corset with the pass of one hand, easing herself back onto her barstool; her bustle makes it quite the production. "Apparently my staff thought this gown suited me," she informs Ofelia, voice dry as dust. "My other clothing would just... hang off me, at the moment." And then Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard approaches, and other concerns are forgotten. Golden eyes slowly narrow, the woman reaching out to press gloved palms against his shoulders in an attempt to keep him at bay. "If you lay a hand upon me, no one will ever find the fingers that did it," she coolly promises him. [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

"Serlok, stop if you don't wonna lose your balls, mate," Tobius le Darrow mutters in a low Tubori to Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard as he watches Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's words and antics and the man gets closer to him. Switching back to Lithmorran, he adds, "Seriously, mate, can you stop dancing? It's a bit strange, though I suspect that chocolate is the cursed kind." [Tobius le Darrow]

A tall young lady with deep green eyes turns to Tobius le Darrow and asks defferentially, "and may I ask for your support as well sir?"

A tall young lady with deep green eyes smiles at Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap's gesture and says reassuringly, "Just one more moment, I won't be long."

With two blinks of his kohl-rimmed eyes, Ofelia follows Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's progression and expressively crinkles his nose when he near-careens into Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir. "I have trousers..." he confesses apparently making conversation with all that he can. "They..." he quietly mulls his words and reaches a large hand in a dainty, three-quarters off glove up to sheepishly rub at his name. "I think.. I am more comfortable in the gown," he lamely ends, a red tint taking over his nape all the way up to his ears. [Ofelia]

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful "Indeed... I have regained my senses and no longer have my sense of beauty switched up. I am sorry to see things are not yet better for you, hopefully that will change soon enough. Is there anything I could do to help in the meantime?"

Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard keeps on keeping on towards the Lady, that degree of concern continuing to grow as his bedeviled feet jig and trounce against Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's assured pushing. "Oh; no. Y'aren't really th'sort I'd lay hands on. Bein' a Lady, an'whatnot, in a Tavern." He utters his reassurance. Both of his arms come to cross his chest. In answer, his feet spin him on around and set to shoving his back towards the seated woman. "My balls are just fine where they are. Anyway, I can't," He answers Tobius le Darrow after a confused moment. "Trousers are good. They're less trouble'n hose too, mate!" He claims his helpful shout towards Ofelia's sheltered form -- ostensibly setting to ignoring the individual towards his back is being danced indomitably towards.

Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap bows his head to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir quietly and nods his head, his left hand patting lightly at the packaged meat, "Between guard Dean ab Renwap and work at breeding, figure would be too much commit. Will still offer help to those that need, if do find, but am have since stopped." Looking back to a tall young lady with deep green eyes, he shakes his head from side to side and waves his free hand, "Is not problem, do take time. Meat is heavy, but have had to carry full boar before, is not problem."

Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap snuffs a roughly dipped tallow candle with a thick twine wick.

[Action: Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard 's feet are making trouble. ]

Tobius le Darrow begins to count their money.

"Well, that's - fair," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir asides to Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap through gritted teeth, busy exerting her considerable strength to keep some distance between herself and Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard. "I will assume you are under a curse," she mutters, "and, as such, refrain from assaulting you, much as I might like-" A frustrated little growl tightens her throat as she begins to edge off her barstool, the process greatly slowed by her complex skirts (and the way she keeps getting hip-checked back by Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard. "Oh for Arien's sake-" [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

A tall young lady with deep green eyes smiles at Tobius le Darrow and says, "it is much appreciated sir." Before turning to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir and asking in a respectful tone, "May I be excused my lady?"

"I don't want to wear trousers, I want to be myself again..." Ofelia petulantly grumbles to himself, all but missing a tiny dark cloud to hang over his girly coif, where he sits in the corner of the pub. The serving wenches appear to be giving him wide berth and he frowns softly, reaching an annoyed, silk-clad fist into his coinpurse and fishing a few pieces out. "Well, if I could trouble you to ask Master Lysander to pour me a drink, I shall most assuredly be grateful to you, Miss dul Lutes," he admits to Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful with a tiny smile. [Ofelia]

Tobius le Darrow gives a nod to Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard as he simply watches, saying over his shoulder absently, "Aye, Miss dul Cross, be glad to give a good word for you to... Lady le Orban now is it? The Prime, I mean." He looks questioningly briefly around at the others, though his eyes go more to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir than anybody else. He says over to Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, "Yeah, mate, I think that chocolate was tainted."

Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap turns his attention to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir with a tall young lady with deep green eyes's question, his expression turning to something more pained as he shifts his weight from one foot back to the other.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful smiles to Ofelia "I'd be happy to pay for it, what would you like?"

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful begins to count their money.

A tall young lady with deep green eyes nods to Tobius le Darrow. "yes sir, that would be her name. I shall send her a missive sometime today, letting her know that I have two sponsors. She asked me to contact her when I have achieved this."

"Oh, you are far too kind, Miss dul Lutes, after how rotten I was to you," Ofelia allows himself a gladdened smile, rouged lips curving up into his apple cheeks. "Mead will do me perfectly," he then adds, finally finding the courage to push his parasol shut and lower it entirely, to the floor. He settles into his seat, hands neatly folded into his lap and ankles demurely crossed, visible - with the gaudy anklet - underneath his too-short gown skirt. It is certainly an interesting sight. [Ofelia]

"No, th'Lady le Orban has freckles an'is much better dressed," Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard -most- assuredly corrects Tobius le Darrow regarding his subject of attention. "I'm-- ah--" his feet are kind enough to jig him a merry spin away from Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir - but only for long enough to draw him around to come back at her with more force for the second go around, "--Sorry! Who're yah?" He distractedly talks towards the Lady, trying to turn his head to catch a glimpse over his shoulder. A furrow is dug across his brow: Those feet are adamantly refusing to stop. "..Here, one o'yah hit me real hard," he asks of the room, "Just right on th'temple then. Maybe y'could knock th'taint back out again?" [Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard]

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful smiles happily to Ofelia "It is nothing miss. I was equally as rude after all." she then walks over to the bar, smiling to lysander and ordering a drink.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful buys a pint mug depicting Queen Caterana, filled with sweet mead.

Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir answers a tall young lady with deep green eyes absently in her distraction: "Aye, aye, of course." She is slowly but surely turning red with what could either be embarrassment or restrained temper as she struggles to get free. She does manage to scramble to her feet in an undignified flurry of skirts as Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard jigs away, and tries to flee from him - but her attire is absolutely not built for fleeing anywhere. Tripping over her feet after they collide yet again, she growls aloud. "Gladly!" she practically shrieks as Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard suggests someone hit him, and a fist winds up for a rather solid punch winged right at the temple. [Attack]
Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir skillfully hits Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's head!
Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard has some minor scratches.

"I'm sorry to rush you my lady. Please forgive my impudents, but may I be excused?," a tall young lady with deep green eyes asks Orban once more. her tone courteous and respectful as she addresses the lady. [a tall young lady with deep green eyes]

"Did say were excused," Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap says to a tall young lady with deep green eyes with a wide nod as he shifts a step towards the kitchens, "If would not mind, am going to put this down." The sudden violence that breaks out between Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir and Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard doesn't seem to make his expression drop any, and he looks amusedly between the two before he heads off. [Kheit son of Shannon, Guard to Dean ab Renwap]

"Oh? My attention is faltering," a tall young lady with deep green eyes says as she gets to her feet. "I'll follow you then." [a tall young lady with deep green eyes]

Ofelia reacts to the balled fist meeting the side of Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's head with a distinctly unmasculine squeak, bringing both gloved hands to his rouged lips, and then rapidly pulling them away with a deep-voiced curse when he recalls exactly how much makeup he happens to be wearing. He inspects the now rouged glove fingertips and looks appropriately miffed. "Damn it, this will never wash out!" He whines at a low pitch.

A tall young lady with deep green eyes begins to move west.

For his own part, Tobius le Darrow apparently wants absolutely none of what is going on between Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir and Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard. He merely sets a bottle of rum on the table, comments, "Oh, look, something to clonk your hard head with, mate? I mean, if yall want, of course," and then goes to whistling innocently as he moves away. [Tobius le Darrow]

Tobius le Darrow drops a squat corked bottle of 357 St. Helriem's Noose spiced rum.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful picks up the mead from the bar and slowly brings it back to Ofelia, keeping -well- away from the violence going on. She then passes the mug over "Here you are miss."

Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard has magical feet, apparently -- they dance with the hit like a set of champs: Even as his head snaps to the side with the woman's surprisingly manly punch, he doesn't conk out like someone's just delivered the haymaker of the ages to his head. "..Huh," he utters with a squint, "Uhm, maybe try th'other side. That'un didn't quite do it?" he asks of Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir. However, at that point, his feet have apparently decided to change targets: His tottering veers away from the woman towards Ofelia's corner of the room. [Charge]
Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard charges to a far distance from Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful gives a pint mug depicting Queen Caterana, filled with sweet mead to Ofelia.

[Action: Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful is stood near Ofelia, keeping away from the ruckus. a small, sleek sable-ferret is perched upon her shoulder. ]

[Action: Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard is dancing uncontrollably about the room, apparently running away from Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir. ]

Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir scoffs at Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's lack of reaction, but doesn't seem inclined to chase him - until, that is, he's heading Ofelia's way. "Oh no you don't; she's suffered enough today," the woman declares fiercely, stalking after Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard in a flurry of cranberry with black-gloved fists clenched at her shapely sides. "You leave that poor girl alone, Serlok!" [Charge]
Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's charge is interrupted, leaving them at a far distance from Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard.

Tobius le Darrow gets a coiled length of sturdy rope attached to a grappling hook from a canvas box of reinforced leather armor accented in cobalt.

Tobius le Darrow calls over to Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard as the man goes dancing away, following in behind, though still staying away from the pursuing Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, "Shall we hog tie you to stop your dancing, mate? This looks... not fun. At all."

Ofelia gladly accepts a pint mug depicting Queen Caterana, filled with sweet mead from Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful, even going so far as to forget for a moment the drama by the bar. He curls his gloved fingers about the mug and waves Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful over to the chair by him. "Won't you join me for a drink?" He asks her, attempting a natural enough smile which does not quite hold. "Please," he adds, with a distinctly uncharacteristic touch of sheepish, nervous hope. He gives another sweep of his eyes about the room and shifts uncomfortably at some of the gazes, before his eyes fall upon Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, whose uncontrolled feet are most assuredly making their way for him. He lets out a panicked squeak and fishes for a jaunty silken parasol, embroidered with floral patterning, managing to pop it open and hold it before himself before the Reeve arrives.

Estone le serlok, lieutenant of the queen's guard wishes to initiate a contest with you, using their strength.

Contest of Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's strength vs Ofelia's strength!
Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard easily wins!

"Arien'ell, y'know m'name?" Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard asks confusedly of the woman who's stalking after him. Due to the fact that his back is towards Ofelia as he jigs, he can't exactly tell to verify what is claimed towards him. Apparently his feet have invited themselves over for a drink as well. However, Tobius le Darrow's claim is met with an avid nod, "Yes, yes! Throw it t'me! He shouts excitedly with Tobius le Darrow's suggestion. The parasol is no match for the broad Tubori Reeve: It's plowed through.. and then his jig changes and he bounces to a halt -- only bumping gently into the man behind it. "..Dear Dav I'll buy a new one," he promises with a wide eyed glance given over his left shoulder. [Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard]

"frak," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir mutters lowly as she stumbles over the hem of her mermaid skirt, knees tangling at its narrowest point. "I can't WALK in this thing," she cries, sounding equal parts distraught and angry about it. The woman yanks a rather large damascus knife from the sheath at her hip - and, bending over, promptly starts sawing at her skirts below the knee to expose her stockings. How scandalous! (repose) [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Tobius le Darrow begins to count their money.

[Action: Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir is hacking her skirts off below the knee with a very large knife. ]

Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir pulls out a dagger.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful sits down slowly on a stall next to Ofelia, watching Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard the whole time with a very deep frown ".u.s.. .an...g .a.t.rd..." she then recomposes herself and straitens out her skirt before turning to Ofelia and forcing a smile "Very lively this morning."

Ofelia looks over at his broken parasol, his made-up face shifting to 'completely and absolutely crestfallen'. This proves to quite possibly be the straw which breaks the proverbial camel's back and he draws in a loud, devastate sniffle, rouged bottom lip trembling uncontrollably and kohl-rimmed eyes filling with large, glossy tears. "YOU COMPLETE AND UTTER ARSE, YOU BROKE MY PARASOL!" He erupts, and if his lungs were powerful as a woman, the voice which rises from him as a man fills the entire room and makes several of the patrons grind to a halt. He immediately bursts into tears and, with an angry wail, rises to try and hit Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard over the head with the remnants of the silk-and-wood construction.

Action set to:
Ofelia is standing to his full height and about to hit Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard with what is left of a jaunty silken parasol, embroidered with floral patterning.

Tobius le Darrow summons a messenger and pays them to make a delivery. [Message]

[Action: Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful sat at a table near Ofelia, looking very awkward. a small, sleek sable-ferret is perched upo her shoulder. ]

"Ah frak," Tobius le Darrow bemoans as he tosses the rope over to Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard. "Serlok, lunaring tie yourself up already. Or something. I just sent for the Justiciar, maybe we can tackle your ass or something." [Tobius le Darrow]

Tobius le Darrow stands up.

Tobius le Darrow flips a coiled length of sturdy rope attached to a grappling hook, arcing it gracefully towards Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard.

Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard disengages. [Disengage]
Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard disengages from combat.

"..Huh. Never seen a Tubori who couldn't do skirts 'afore," Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard utters a confused aside with Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's violent redirection. His shoulders hunch right on over with Ofelia's broken shout, a he winces a quick answer, "I'll buy yah three new ones, just as good? Even better?" He reaches to gather up the rope up in a tangle as the rope is flung towards him---- aaaand his fancy feet deftly dodge to the left. He leans over as far as he can towards it.... but nope. Lucklily it's turned him towards Ofelia, and all of his upset rage, He's quick to tap the top of his head," Right there, good'n hard? Quick, 'afore I get away from yah!" [Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard]

Eamon Byrne, the Penniless Sailor arrives from the east.

Eamon Byrne, the Penniless Sailor leaves west.

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar arrives from the east carefully, determination set in her alert gaze.
A stocky nondescript Vandagan woman has arrived.
A bookish looking spectacled Lithmorran man has arrived.
Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar slows to a halt.

[Action: Tobius le Darrow stands here watching the scene unfolding. ]

[Action: Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard is dancing a merry jig before Ofelia. ]

[Action: Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar is walking through the tavern door. ]

"Here we go," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir snarls, eyes alight, as she renders her skirt knee-length - with a little slit up the back to keep the narrowness of its upper portion from restraining her. Shoving her dagger back into its sheath, she stomps over toward Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, bending down to snatch up the rope on the floor. "I've got him," she shouts, forming a loop of rope and aiming to toss it around Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard - so that she can forcibly yank him back and away from Ofelia's rage. Whether or not she actually has got him, though, remains to be seen... [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir tucks her dagger in her belt.

Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir gets a coiled length of sturdy rope attached to a grappling hook.

[Action: Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir is a feminine vision of rage, attempting to apprehend Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard. ]

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar holds a note in her hand as she blinks a few times, walking through the door, and letting one of her guards close it behind her. A quick brush of her hand over her skirts, she pauses at the doorway looking over the scene in front of her. There is a moment where eyes dart back to the door, perhaps contemplating that turn around and pretend you say nothing move. However, she lingers a moment, watching the spectacle, unable to really withdraw from it.

"You -complete-," Ofelia screeches -as much as a deep-voiced Vandagan man can, anyways - "and -utter-" he continues, punctuating each words with what proves to be a harmless thwack, if the state of a jaunty silken parasol, embroidered with floral patterning and the skinniness of his arms is anything to go by - "and -total-" he yells yet again - "-ARSE-!" caps off the diatribe, before he throws the broken parasol to the side and lets out an anguished, strangled yell and flops back into his chair, made-up face buried into his white gloves while he begins to sob freely. "Wh- why- is- th- is- h- hap- p-en- ing?!" He devastatedly cries, piles of make-up running to stain his gloves and streak his face. [Ofelia]
Ofelia appears to be of Poor strength.

Tobius le Darrow just drops all pretense of manners as he hollers to Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar in her native tongue, "M'lady, Serlok's got his his feet dancing him away. Help me tackle him or get a rope round him?" He asks this last, desperation plain in his voice as he watches Ofelia and Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir.

[Action: Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar stands at the doorway with a sceptic look on her face. ]

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar seems distracted by everything when she sees Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's outfit, she narrows her eyes in dismay. [Hidden]

Action set to:
Ofelia is a crying man in a dress.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful sits at the table looking very awkward and uncomfortable before sighing and doing her best to be 'comforting' by gently patting Ofelia's back "There there... you'll get better soon enough. And I'm sure you can easily guilt trip the man into buying you a much more expensive and pretty parasol to make up for what you're going through..."

Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir starts to move towards the south and west.

Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard is a man with feet that refuse to be conquered. He god damn -leans- towards the grappling hook that Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir lobs at him as Ofelia's snapped parasol batters him about the head and shoulders. "Lady Lunare, please..." he groans. He's sweating at this point - the mad dancing (that's actually pretty good) hasn't slowed since his feet first hit the floor. They do carry him between busy tables across the room back towards where Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar has just arrived. There's a slimming sort of unease that's slowly started easing across his visage, "Justiciar, move or tackle me or hit me or maybe just kick these feet out from under me if y'could?"

Someone, somewhere nearby is wailing and crying from deep upset. It is most assuredly a man. [Ofelia (RPYell)]

Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir looses nothing less than a warcry when her attempt to lasso Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard fails. "I cannot believe you!" she shouts at him as if this is somehow his fault. "This is ridiculous!" cries the nobleman-become-woman, throwing the rope aside in disgust and chasing him as he begins to jig away. "And you broke her PARASOL!" Uh oh - that's another fist winding up for another distinctly not-pulled punch, levelled right at Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's head from somewhat behind him. Cheap shot. [Attack]
Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir skillfully hits Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's head!
Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard appears to be hurt.

[Action: Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir appears to be trying to knock Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard out in a beskirted spat of rage. ]

Tobius le Darrow seems to have had enough of everything, and he starts hopping over chairs and weaving through the crowd. [Charge]
Tobius le Darrow's charge is interrupted, leaving them at a medium distance from Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard.

Ofelia's anguished sobs have not even ceased, in fact they may even have doubled with Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful's undoubtedly kind words. "But wh- at- if- I- do- on't-" he devastatedly wheezes. Two dripping, black streaks have run down his cheeks and the paints and rouge are smudged everywhere, half still on him and half on his gloves. He apparently cannot even pay mind to what has become of his look, as upset as he is about the entire situation.

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar lets a long breath out, watching everything and blinking a few times. "Well then," she says looking back towards the door, but she stays, and fishes around for her handcuffs, "hold him down, I will restrain him." The woman takes pause and looks directly at Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, her eyes scan her or him over, either way she is focused on his outfit. "We need to talk," she says sharply in her direction. "You are wearing my favourite outfit, while I never thought this would be an issue between us - it is. There are -rules- Orban. Rules of fashion," she says deadpan and looking quite serious about this. A pauses as she walks over to Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, "Settle down Lieutenant," she says to him, then looks back at Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, "you do have good taste," she grants as she doesn't so much get involved by stands nearby ready to cuff someone.

[Action: Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar stands near the group holding a pair of iron manacles linked by a short and flattened bar. ]

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful sighs before saying "If you don't then you'll learn to make the most of it. Noone chooses anything in life, not how they're born, not their looks, not who they love and not what they're born into. But it is all about making the most of what you've been given no? You'll simply have to just be the most stylish man in the city. But I doubt it will not wear off, there will be some way to remove it."

Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard needs a good cheap shot -- his feet aren't so well prepared for that one! They do change their jig -- tripping over one another for a moment. Progress! One of his hands lifts of its own accord to rub the growing sore spot, "I said I'd buy three new ones!" He answers indignantly through squinted eyes. "Oh, aye. Get'em on th'ankles. Damned monsters," He hisses, pained.

"Help me hold him down!" Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir appeals to Tobius le Darrow, the woman not going for another punch so much as grabbing at Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard and trying to just hang on - dead weight to slow his dancing, in an ideal world. "I - it isn't really - my style," she pants over at Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar tightly, "but my servants thought it was, and I didn't exactly have... have a bloody spare...!" [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Tobius le Darrow gets held up for a second by an oveturned chair, but he manages to weave around the people moving away, jump over the chair, and start heading over to help Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir. [Charge]
Tobius le Darrow's charge is interrupted, leaving them at a close distance from Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard.

Benne Zeekint, Chandler arrives from the east with slow, deliberate steps.
Benne Zeekint, Chandler slows to a halt.

Upon hearing Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful' words, Ofelia turns a wide, racoon-eyed stare toward the other woman, and apparently the prospect of remaining a man evidently seems to be the most horrible thing she has ever contemplated. Her face scrunches up in a tortured, despairing scrunch, and a low wail starts deep within his chest, eventually rising to a devastated crescendo and filling the Queen's commons with a confusingly masculine cry. [Ofelia]

[Action: Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard is being mobbed. His moves are just too hot. ]

[Action: Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir is a woman for some reason, and is also trying to dogpile Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard. ]

[Action: Tobius le Darrow is still a man, also trying to dogpile Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard with Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir. ]

Action set to:
Ofelia is a man in a dress, crying, whose anguished wails are at the moment serving as backdrop to the action.

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar uncoils her whip.

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful sighs quietly "As I said. It will have some way to fix it... but I can assure you that way will not be feeling sorry for yourself. You must do what you can to be strong and endure your way through this ordeal. You need to calm yourself and find the composure befitting a woman of your station."

Benne Zeekint, Chandler steps in off the hot streets with an airy sigh, which is only exacerbated as he takes a good look upon the room as a whole. "Huh," he comments towards the goings-on, blinking once behind a pair of copper-framed spectacles with round, thick lenses. He reaffirms his grip on a short, lithe walking staff of smoothly-varnished sycamore, but simply sidesteps the door, putting himself out the way, so that he can gawk.

Benne Zeekint, Chandler takes a step to the north.

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar takes a step to the west.

[Action: Benne Zeekint, Chandler stands just aside the eastern door, gawking. ]

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar roll her eyes slightly, perhaps at something or just everything she looks between Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir and Tobius le Darrow and yells, "Oi, watch out! I'm going to try to pull him down," she says uncoiling her whip. She looks around the room, positioning herself before him, she looks at Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, "I'm really sorry Estone," she mouths the words to him and then she chews on her lip, lowering herself a bit as she pulls her hand back, she cracks the whip in the air, and extends it towards Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard. She attempts to coil it around his ankles, and in doing so, she gives a hard tug trying to pull the man over. [Attack]
Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar swings wildly at Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's legs!
Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard has been wounded.

Overlaid by Ofelia's rather well enunciated wailing, Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard is busy dancing like a madman. He's sweaty, and doesn't look like he's having the best of times with it. As a matter of fact, he's a swelling black eye that he's picked up somewhere along the way. Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's dive manages to land a pair of, well, surprisingly manly but well manicured hands onto the back of his belt. His feet kick into a violent push off of the ground -- their best effort to get away from Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's gorgeous hands -- just in time for Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar's whip to curl around his left ankle, pulling it right back towards the Lady and Justiciar who it had been trying to get away from: He goes forwards just as quickly as he had been going up. Physics has its way with the man's belted trousers as he careens down..... and Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's grip simply tears them down to his ankles: The whip's grip held for long enough, and the Lady did an exemplary job of finishing the bedeviled feet off by wrapping them up with the man's trousers. They still kick fitfully, but they don't manage to pick the Reeve up from where he's landed, face down on the floor. [Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard]

It would appear, quite miraculously, that appealing to Ofelia's gentry pride may exactly be the thing for Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful to do in this situation. A loud, wet sniff sounds form him and his shoulders continue to bounce with soft sobs, although the most violent of these appear to have now passed. He reaches up and rubs even more black on his poor white-gloved fist, trying as he might to calm himself down in the face of his predicament. He does, eventually, give his fellow Troubadour the tiniest of nods, swallowing down the last of his tears and remaining quietly perched upon his chair, fingers fiddling together as he surveys the state of the damage to his parasol. "I.." he snorfles again. "...it is my favourite parasol," he tries, by way of explanation. The sudden removal of Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's pants does manage to cause him to briefly forget about himself and he simply stares. [Ofelia]

"Ah!" Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir outright screams as she manages to accidentally pants Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, tearing her hands away from the cloth as if it's just too hot to handle. She releases him at once, scrambling back a graceless step, but then hastens to capitalize on the situation - scurrying forward on hands and knees to sit herself down on Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's prone back. She is not that light, given her height and her apparent quantity of muscle. "Got him!" she pants, wide-eyed and disheveled. Her braid is two seconds from falling completely loose. "I didn't realize today was Bottomless Wrong-Gender Barfighting Day," Benne Zeekint, Chandler quips aside to nobody in particular. He purses his lips at the goings-on, adding shortly thereafter, "Are we meant to just dive straight into the slapstick with our own best routines?" [Benne Zeekint, Chandler]

Tobius le Darrow seems to not give two figs about Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's pantsed state. Finally reaching where the lot are, he moves to snatch what rope he can get hold of and goes for the feet where Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir has the man held.

"Aw, what the frak..." a heavyset woman with slits for eyes mutters, face turning from an unpleasant scowl to an awestruck displeasure as she witnesses the chaotic scene that's occupied the Queen's this morning. Her eyes travel around quickly from Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's passive position on the ground, Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir who sits upon him, and then all of the others. [a heavyset woman with slits for eyes]

Miss dul Lutes, Bard Hopeful stares at the display of Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's trouser trouble before snapping her eyes away from the weirdness and back to Ofelia "Be that as it may as gentrywomen we must take these things on the chin. Just remember to tell him that when you make him buy you a new nicer one. I'm afraid that I now must take my leave, but I do hope you are feeling better next time we meet. Just remember to make the most of whatever situation you're in and show people you're damned strong no matter what happens." she then smiles politey as she stands before curtsying to the nobles in the room "if you will all excuse me. Lord bless."

Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard utters a gasped agreement with Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir as the woman plops her butt down onto his back, "Dear Dav yes... Put th'manacles on now... quick! Get'em while they're all tied up!" a petite woman, bearing dusky locks is inked upon his thigh angles and twists sensuously as his feet bobble and dodge around any further efforts to sort them out. He jerks his head to the side, squeezing a glance from the corner of his eye up toward Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, ".. M'Lady, y'hit like a man," He utters an accusation, on the side. [Disengage]
Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard fails to disengage immediately.

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar looks at Tobius le Darrow, "Good," she says, "I'll get his hands, who knows, they might try to free the feet," she mutters not looking to comprehend the situation. She blows a piece of hair from her face as she unlatches the manacles, "What the arien... What happened?" she asks Tobius le Darrow confusion and concern knit in her brow. She tries to put a knee down on Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's back, to hold him while she reaches to grab his wrists, "on the bright side... your dancing has improved," she offers in a stifled tone.

"Are you implying women can't hit hard?" Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir asks of Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard with faint asperity. She rearranges what's left of her skirt, but nothing can keep her from demonstrating a truly scandalous amount of stocking-clad leg - with the skirts cut down to the knee. Ankles cross decorously as she adjusts her seating. "You're deuced difficult to catch, though. I suppose I'm impressed, through my general anger and hatred of my life right now." "Would it be appropriate to catcall her?" Benne Zeekint, Chandler asks in an aside to a patron with a brief gesture to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, brows lifted inquisitively. [Benne Zeekint, Chandler]

Tobius le Darrow moves to put the rope more securely around Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, at least as well as he can manage, though how much he can get is up in the air. He growls over his shoulder to Benne Zeekint, Chandler, "I will clout you over the head myself if m'lady doesn't get to you first, mate."

Ofelia is quietly feeling sorry for himself while sitting alone in his corner, now that his drinking companion has left. The sight of a heavyset woman with slits for eyes sneaking something has him widen his eyes and shoot his hand up to point. "That! What was that?! Was it a sweet? She has one too!" He hysterically squeaks, black-smudged eyes wide open as he stares aghast, accusingly upon the newcomer.

"No, not in th'least. Most women don't hit like they weigh two'undred pounds though," Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard posits from his comfortable, semi-clad, position beneath the comely Lady. He manages to lift a bruised grin with Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's answer, "Suppose that I could offer yah a bottle o'rum, or some such in thanks f'knockin' me down?" He asks, still surprisingly conversational. Or maybe his rocks have just been clocked right on around and then been smashed into the floor. "..No, Rimi, th'manacles are f'those ankles-- whooo've set to trying to yank themselves out of the pants at this point, and are -winning-. [Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard]

"Mate, with her legs out like that I reckon she's asking for it," the patron answers Benne Zeekint, Chandler placidly, drinking his ale. [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

"Someone... someone right now, neefs to explain..." a heavyset woman with slits for eyes has been stuffing her mouth with... chocolate(?) as she saunters over to Ground Zero. Boots heavily thundering against the hardwood floor, she makes her presence known through the mouthful of brown, gooey sweetness. "Who in the Abyff is this? What's she doing rifing the Lieutenant when I know full welf he's single?" A hand reaches out to rest on Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's shoulder. "Gef off my man-" a heavyset woman with slits for eyes breaks off at Ofelia's words, and quickly hides some of the chocolate behind her back. "The fufk you mean? I've no chocolate. It's mine, back away!" [a heavyset woman with slits for eyes]

A heavyset woman with slits for eyes eats a delectable-looking little chocolate bonbon.

"Yes, well, I'm rather strong," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir demurs down at Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, then lifts her gaze to hiss to Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar, "Do not tell Serlok who I am. Please. I'd never live it down." Clearing her throat in the wake of that quiet instruction, she maintains her position while the Reeves work to secure their twitching comrade - that is, until a heavyset woman with slits for eyes arrives. "I beg your pardon?" she cries indignantly at the touch to her shoulder, lifting narrowed golden eyes - only to blink at whom they find. "Lady Earl Marshall?" she asks, blankly. "Surely you don't want -this- reprobate as your eighth husband?" [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

[Action: a heavyset woman with slits for eyes is standing, mouth smeared with chocolate, near Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir and Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, looking quite defensive ]

"You're, uhm, very beautiful, miss," Benne Zeekint, Chandler informs Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir plainly, under the din of the kerfuffle, with a matter-of-fact dip of his head. He is not an adept catcaller in any sense of the word. His attention is sidetracked, however, to the state of Ofelia's deteriorating makeup and, after a moment's hesitation, he ambles closer. [Benne Zeekint, Chandler]

Ofelia is nowhere near his naturally composed self, continuing to wildly wave an accusing hand toward a heavyset woman with slits for eyes. "She ATE the thing! The chocolate!" He unmasculinely squeaks. He settles for clasping the remants of a jaunty silken parasol, embroidered with floral patterning in his hands and keeping them near as a makeshift weapon, a wary, squinty (and runny) squint leveled toward the Knight from a distance.

"Big, strong, women," Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard murmurs a happy little note that's uttered as Seafoam eyes bobble from the Lady on his back towards a heavyset woman with slits for eyes, and on over towards Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar. His lips purse after a beat, "While you're talkin', would y'mind scootchin' down a bit?" He asks of Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, "M'arse is goin' t'catch chill an'you've plenty t'go around. Retrobate all y'want, but that ain't warmin' me up.." And then turning his head on the ground towards Tobius le Darrow, "Oy, mate. Could y'grab that tankard o'mine offa th'bar?" In the meanwhile, his feet have continued fighting free from the trousers -- as a matter of fact both of his boots are off and his left foot's just escaped. Hopefully towards a heavyset woman with slits for eyes, "Lady Earl Marshall, I've no idea who she is, but she hits.. well she hits like I imagine you do." [Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard]

"Hello!" a lithe Tubori woman with wavy ebon hair chirps cheerfully on bursting into the tavern before she's even really looked about to see who is on hand - or what is going on here.

Tobius le Darrow stops using a down-filled quilt, sewn to depict the Mountains of Vostok.

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar tries to work the manacles on the hands, she ignores Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's request for rope on wrists and metal on ankles, she can't really do an exchange with Tobius le Darrow right now, trying her best not to rip and or stare at the stocking clad legs before her. She tosses a look at Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir a moment and she grins wickedly, "Don't worry M'lady, watching a stalking clad you straddle Serlok in a tavern is good enough for me," she says with a wink, tightening her lips as if to secure the secret. She looks back at Tobius le Darrow, "How you doing down there? I'll slip these on, you slip those on, and we..." she pauses, "What the frak do we do with him?" she asks, "Headquarters? Ahalin? The dance hall in the Farin Quarter?" she shrugs her shoulders. She looks at Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, "I am not sitting on your ass," she looks at Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, expectantly.

Tobius le Darrow moves to tosss blank over Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard to cover his modesty as well as he can. He gets up and moves to grab the tankard, "We lock him in the medical ward in the Head quarters?"

Tobius le Darrow gives a down-filled quilt, sewn to depict the Mountains of Vostok to Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard.

"How is everyooo-" a lithe Tubori woman with wavy ebon hair starts and just sort of cuts off and stands gawping in the doorway. "Oh. Well then. About like that, I guess....." she trails off, paused in place.

"May I offer your countenance a moment of respite?" Benne Zeekint, Chandler offers to Ofelia, proffering from a bag a bit of lip stain, some kohl, and a tiny handheld mirror. "I'm woefully out of talc, I'm afraid, but perhaps this will suffice until you've had a moment to recuperate." His attention is swung the way of the ruckus. "Was that an open invitation to sit on someone's ass I heard?" [Benne Zeekint, Chandler]

A heavyset woman with slits for eyes sneaks a bite of the chocolate again, her thin eyes pointedly watching Ofelia before sparing a journey down to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir and Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard. To the former, she growls. "Reprobate? Ain't like the first seven was pretty prinfes in large stone castles. I can make a true, honorable man out of him!" To the latter, she grunts. "Shut up. Why is your arse exposed for all to witness? You might as well be holding two half moons beneath those trousers all the time." And at the gossiper, she shouts. "I nefer fucked my squires! Say it again and I'll unman your man!" More chocolate is bitten, furiously.

"Of -course- I'm very beautiful," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir snaps at Benne Zeekint, Chandler. "Do you think that makes me feel any better?" She huffs, folding her arms over her chest; when Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard asks for a butt-warmer, she outright snarls at him, "-I will smash your nose into your brain-." With the bonds completed she leaps to her feet with alacrity, adjusting her crumpled bustle. "Serlok seems like his usual -ridiculous- self, so probably he can stay here if he wants. It's dancing, not - not madness," she mutters, trying in vain to fix her hopelessly disheveled clothing. That is, until a heavyset woman with slits for eyes distracts her from such mundane tasks. "Good lord, get a hold of yourself!" is snapped at a heavyset woman with slits for eyes. "You're embarrassing the Knighthood!" a lithe Tubori woman with wavy ebon hair's entry is missed in the bedlam. [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard says OOCly, "For my emote ... all I've seen done to him is Rimi trying to put the manacles onto his wrists and tobi putting a blanked over his butt, right?"

Ofelia is too busy squinting mistrustfully at a heavyset woman with slits for eyes from afar to notice Benne Zeekint, Chandler until he is right at his shoulder. The sound of his voice suddenly nearby elicits a masculine yelp from him and he turns large, wide eyes up toward the man. "Oh... oh," he appears to recognize him. "Mister... Zeekint, yes?" He tries. The sight of the profferred cosmetics, however, cause for him to lower his white-knuckled hold on his destroyed parasol. "Oh.. oh Lord, I must look terrible," he realizes, reaching up to feel his blushing face with a single, make-up stained glove. "Thank you," he eventually expresses, demure demeanor absolutely at odds with his deep voice and otherwise entirely masculine look. "Mm?" He wonders, on the subject of arses, gaze flitting back over toward the pile of bodies. "Oh. Er. Yes, possibly. Mister le Serlok appears to be cursed with a touch of the jig," he remarks, as evently as he can while wiping his eyes.

Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's feet will have -none- of Tobius le Darrow's blanketing business: It does serve to cover their covert movements, shifting beneath it, scrabbling around... and then the blanket's been shed. Along with the pants that had allowed a window of opportunity. a petite woman, bearing dusky locks is inked upon his thigh is back to her sinuous dancing. Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's brow wrinkles up considerably with Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar's attempt to lay a cuff to his wrist, "Dav, dammit, I know m'face looks like m'ass, but you're on th'wrong end!" He declaims testily -- jerking upwards as Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir attempts to lift from him, his feet fighting for purchase on the floor and blanket with their newfound freedom.

Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard drops a down-filled quilt, sewn to depict the Mountains of Vostok.

A huge, young Hillman Reeve slows to a halt.

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar nudges her knee into the man's back, digging it in slightly to stop the squirming, "settle down Lieutenant," she says in a calm voice. "We are going to tie you up all nice like, stick you on a chair," she looks at Tobius le Darrow, "We should in fact tie him to the chair just to be sure - but bound his ankles first," she says. She looks at Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir a moment and blinks, about to say something, she just shakes her head. She looks at Tobius le Darrow as she holds onto Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's wrists, "Here use the manacles on his feet so he shuts the frak up," she says tossing them to him, "give me the rope," she says. "Did you drink something or did this just happen?" she asks.

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar flips a pair of iron manacles linked by a short and flattened bar, arcing it gracefully towards Tobius le Darrow.

"And what in Arien's shit-faced name would you know about the Knighthood?" a heavyset woman with slits for eyes snorts to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, biting down the last bit of her chocolate and dusting off her hands. "Here you are, assaulting the poor Lieutenant's buttocks like they've done something to offend you. That sure isn't something a Knight would get angry at. It's a poor sight, maybe, but you wouldn't find me straddling it... .. .ubli., .t ......" [a heavyset woman with slits for eyes]

Tobius le Darrow nods his head and moves to try, yet again, to bind Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's feet as well as possible, trying to hold the air clogging feet.

"Ariiiii?" a lithe Tubori woman with wavy ebon hair shrieks, rather shrilly and long, taking a few steps in towards Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir. She comes just a few steps before she comes to a sudden stop, head cocking dramatically. "Wait, no you're not... you sounded like- wrong person!" She blinks further, noting Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard now. "Estone?"

"Well, the ladies seem to have his ass well under control anyway," Benne Zeekint, Chandler muses towards Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard and company. "Pity." With a mischievousness grin to Ofelia as he hands off the items, he inquires, "I don't suppose there's something unusual happening, is there? Some strange Troubadore-hosted event I managed to miss the word on?" [Benne Zeekint, Chandler]

The layer of cosmetics on Ofelia's face is beginning to flake off.

Ofelia gets an extensive set of paints and powder in a myriad of colors from a sturdy doubly-lined silk satchel, fit with leather straps.

A scowl tightens Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's features as she begins to reply to a heavyset woman with slits for eyes - but stops herself before anything comes out, an angry flush sweeping her dark skin. "He's cursed," she tells the other woman tightly. "I - I needed to help hold him down before he hurt himself or someone. -Everyone's- bloody cursed and nobody knows why, except it's linked to chocolat- wait... what did you just eat? Oh, Arien." She sighs, lifting her hands to scrub at her face - only to startle at a lithe Tubori woman with wavy ebon hair's shriek. "Beth?" She gasps, hands falling back to her side. "When did you come back?!" [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Ofelia sets to what appears to be the highly involved task of fixing his makeup. His gloves appear to be a total loss anyways, therefore he uses them to dab away at the particularly offensive streaks of black and flaking paints, while squinting at himself in a tiny, handheld mirror cut to the shape of a winged figure. "Oh.. it has been going on all day..." he admits to Benne Zeekint, Chandler with a soft sigh, although apparently he does better with his mind occupied to the task of painting himself up again. "It is a witch, people think, who has been distributing candies and jewelry to the unsuspecting..." he observes, while carefully drawing a steady, heavy line of black with a squat glass vessel of dramatic, striking, ebon-black kohl. He blinks his eyes twice and look at himself critically. "Oh, and I've a bit on me. I had intended to buy more, but apparently Mister Marcin has no idea who I am," he unhappily observes.
Carefully blended into Ofelia's skin, the thin layer of cosmetics helps to conceal any flaws and blemishes.

Action set to:
Ofelia is carefully reapplying make up as he speaks to Benne Zeekint, Chandler, heavily involved in the task of softening his look again.

Tobius le Darrow leaves east.

"Well, if it is, nobody told me about it!" a lithe Tubori woman with wavy ebon hair laments dramatically to Benne Zeekint, Chandler. "I mean, I know I just got back, but you think somebody would have mentioned it!" She gives a shake of her head, and neck, and down through her shoulders and body, seeming to puff up her stance a bit afterwards in some sort of aggrieved reaction. "Well, I mean, one of the bards gave me some candy to welcome me back, and I feel just fine," she proclaims. "And I've only been back a little while... are you Ari's sister?" she accuses Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, eyes narrowed and head cocking to one side.

"Whossat?" Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard asks from his point on the floor -- shoved unceremoniously back on down as tobi snags both ankles, yanking his milling feet out from beneath him, "I swear, is m'arse this recognizable..?" He sighs into the floor with -that- thought. Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir's explanation has the man jumping just as high as the Lady had, falling to his side the opposite direction, "Oh, shite, Beth!" He greets with an equal degree of surprise -- a mad flush driving to his cheeks as he feverishly grabs up a toustled pile of trousers to cover his indecency up: His ankles fastened, they're found to be under control and no longer able to bobble him about. At least until he tries standing. He slants a glance aside towards Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, "ARI PULLED M'PANTS DOWN!?" He screeches in much the same manner the Lady just had. [Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard]

"Well if chocolate's cursing everyone, just eat cake." a heavyset woman with slits for eyes tells Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, wiping her chocolate covered mouth in her sleeve and clearing her throat. At a lithe Tubori woman with wavy ebon hair's mention of that all too familiar name, a heavyset woman with slits for eyes gives Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir a quick double take. Her brows rise, her lips suck in and out, and those shrewd eyes of hers widen a hair's width. "Wait... wait. Orban? Ariel le Orban? Lord Sir Ariel le Orban? And a fucking woman at that. Well, ain't that fitting. You were never too far away from it, if you want my honest opinion." [a heavyset woman with slits for eyes]

"I must have missed the bulk of it," Benne Zeekint, Chandler laments with a purse of his lips, passing a long glance around the room, "Been on a nice long walk since yesterday." He recoils a bit at a stray raised voice, putting a hand on hat as though it could be shouted right off. "Goodness. Witchery, you say, though? Blast. Were that it were only lighthearted tomfoolery. Witchcraft just takes the fun out of it, then." He purses his lips. [Benne Zeekint, Chandler]

Ofelia nearly pokes an eye out at all the screeching and slants a quick, annoyed flick of his eyes toward the greater of the commotion, before setting to very slooooooowly filling out the black line, lest someone else surprise him. "It is not very fun, no," he quietly undersates. In his capacity as the man who, up until very recently was bawling loudly enough to cover the sound of fighting.
Applied carefully about the eyes, the kohl outlines them in dramatic black, making them stand out.

"Shit," Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir gasps as soon as her greeting of a lithe Tubori woman with wavy ebon hair's escaped her, wide-eyed - but it's too late. Looking wildly between a lithe Tubori woman with wavy ebon hair and Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, she just opens and closes her mouth in helpless silence. Then: "You were -dancing- on me first!" she hurls at the man, hands clenched into fists at her sides. "And Farra was bloody -groping- me, and - and I didn't ask for any of this! I didn't ask for any of this at all!" Now she rounds on a heavyset woman with slits for eyes, wide-eyed. "And I certainly didn't ask for your honest opinion! I'm Tubori, I don't give two shits if I'm 'man' enough for any of you - certainly no one who's known me -intimately- has ever complained - but that doesn't mean that this isn't stressful!" [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir says OOCly, "*wild-eyed"

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar manages to wrap some rope around Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard's wrists fastening them tightly, and seeing the other Reeve binding the ankles, she stands up off Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard luckily in time before he jumps. She smoothes down her skirt, and brushes some hair behind her hair. "You all can't be here," she says finally, "you are... all a disturbance," she mutters then shakes her head, "No I think it's better we keep the people from you - and you all stay here," she looks around "No one move," she says with a wave of her hand, walking over towards her assembly of guards. "Post someone outside, warning the public about this menace. Contact the," she looks over at Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir a moment, "Contact someone," she mutter.

[Action: Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir is a fuming, disheveled, inappropriately-dressed woman. ]

"Apparently, someone over at the Queen's Inn found part of a -dead rat- in their porridge the other day!" Says the one. The other replies, "Really, there are MUCH better places to have a drink! The Three Cups is an excellent choice, one of my favorites, in fact..." [Message]
A pair of cheery morning types walks past within earshot, talking perhaps a little too loudly for mere coincidence. [Message]

A lithe Tubori woman with wavy ebon hair moves to sit herself in a nearby chair - or rather, she climbs up on the seat of a chair and perches there in a squat, arms folded up on either side. "What's going ooooon here?" she laments, voice shrill.

The eastern door is opened from the other side.

A huge, young Hillman Reeve has been watching the scene from near the door; wild eyed. Whether it's Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard on the floor and robbed of whatever little dignity he had, or Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir looking way more feminine than usual, or everyone just -standing- there, the Hillman looks confused and alarmed. At Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar's command he stands to attention and mumbles: "M'lady, I can guard the access to 'ere if ya want."

Silrie arrives from the east.
A brawny, caramel-skinned man has arrived.
A huge, fluffy brown and white Tarnland Mountain Dog has arrived.
Silrie slows to a halt.

Silrie closes the eastern door.

"Well my apologies for being sincere!" a heavyset woman with slits for eyes retorts to Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, expression a tad hurt. Then her lips form a pout, then a frown. Her head jerks, and she glances down over her shoulder. The rear of her skirt seems to be bulging, as though something is moving underneath. "Wh-what...?" The woman's mouth is left agape as a rip appears in the skirt, growing vertically until a tiny bit of fluffy black fur pokes out. And then a full tail, about four feet long, shoots out, swinging and moving this way and that, as though it has a life of its own. [a heavyset woman with slits for eyes]

Counting a handful of silver, Silrie walks through the door of the tavern. Glancing up to speak to a brawny, caramel-skinned man, her eyes catch on the scene in the tavern. "Holy..." she trails off, eyes widening, one hand lifting to cover her outh. Whether in shock or to stifle a laugh is difficult to tell.

"..But what sort o'Tubori doesn't know how t'run in an Arien skirt though!?" Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard declaims with a helpless wave towards Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir -- once moe doing his best to shake off Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar as she sets to trying to bind his wrists: "Dav, dammit, I'm not a criminal, we got those legs under control already!" He utters a terse aside towards Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar with a waved off bunch of ropes, before stuffing both down once more to reseat the trousers that were seeking to, well, unseat themselves. "Cadet," he coolly claims towards the largest man in the room, "Could y'get me m'tankard from over by th'bar? I need a drink, an'everyone else --" a troubled glance towards Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar "--are still tryin' t'trice me up." Back towards Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, "An' I right proper didn't want t'dance onta yah at all; I mean, well, y'are a pretty lookin' Orban; but we already both knew that was a problem that we've been workin' on sortin' out an'I don't think that I would o'tried t'mess up all o'that work jes f'a bit o'dancin' with yah now that you're prettier." [Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard]

Ofelia very cautiously repairs the damage all of the sobbing and rubbing at his face also imposed upon his lips, before leaning back and smacking them together as he carefully examines the result in a tiny, handheld mirror cut to the shape of a winged figure. One of his arched brows hikes critically as he takes the image in and he eventually leans back, looking satisfied - and quite impressively painted again, too. "Mister Zeekint, I must say you are a gift. Thank you for your help. I ought to make my way back to my home," he conversationally remarks, rather as if he were not a great man in a gown who had, up until recently, filled the room with hysterics. He rises to his full, imposing height - gown skirts notably too short for him - and collects his broken parasol before handing the items back.
The soft wax spreads over Ofelia's lips, covering them in a thin layer of brilliant red.

Ofelia gives a tiny, handheld mirror cut to the shape of a winged figure to Benne Zeekint, Chandler.

Ofelia gives a squat glass vessel of dramatic, striking, ebon-black kohl to Benne Zeekint, Chandler.

Ofelia gives a little clay jar of intense, vibrant, maroon lip stain to Benne Zeekint, Chandler.

Ofelia puts an extensive set of paints and powder in a myriad of colors in a sturdy doubly-lined silk satchel, fit with leather straps.

[Action: Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard is settled on his rear, his ankles manacled, and trousers stuffed onto his lap. ]

Action set to:
Ofelia is a man in a too-short gown demurely excusing himself from Benne Zeekint, Chandler's side while clutching a broken parasol.

"Note to self: no chocolate for a good, long time," Benne Zeekint, Chandler muses as his full attention now sits on a heavyset woman with slits for eyes, inquisitively observing the bulk of her transformation. He adjusts a pair of copper-framed spectacles with round, thick lenses with a single finger, 'hmm'ing softly. A brief glance is shot aside to Silrie, but doesn't linger. To Ofelia, he smiles serenely. "My pleasure. Lord bless you and, well, keep you from further madness, I suppose." [Benne Zeekint, Chandler]

"Do I even want to know what's happening here?" Silrie asks a brawny, caramel-skinned man.
Looking ammused, a brawny, caramel-skinned man shakes his head. "I'm going to go out on a limb here and say magery," he says with effected sarcasm. "Might want to just get the salt and get out before you get hexed as well, yes?"
Shrugging, Silrie nods, begining to pick her way through the madness, looking pointedly down at the floor.

"Oh, did you grow up wearing mermaid skirts with bustles in Tubor? Because I didn't!" Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir snarks at Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, seemingly a little calmer after her outburst. She breathes in, breathes out, and closes her eyes - opening them again just in time to see a heavyset woman with slits for eyes gain a tail. "Oh," she says distantly, faintly. "I guess it's... definitely not over yet, then." Turning to Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar, she notes in calmer if slightly shaky tones, "Some people have had chocolates just appear in their hands - I don't think we can isolate the problem, I'm afraid. And I am -not-," he says over his shoulder to Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard, "-staying- like this. Just so you know." [Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir]

Silrie begins to count their money.

Ofelia moves towards the south and east.
Ofelia has reached his target.

[Action: Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir is a rather cross-looking and inappropriately-dressed woman at the moment. ]

The eastern door is opened from the other side.
Raymond Karnon, Aide to the High Steward arrives from the east.
Raymond Karnon, Aide to the High Steward slows to a halt.

[Action: Benne Zeekint, Chandler lingers near a corner of the room, watching with mixed interest and detachment. ]

Silrie giggles behind her hand. [Hidden]

"A woman in gold gave me a chocolate at the theatre, but she said that's because the Poet Laudate told her I was back from Tubor, and it was a welcome back gift, and it was very sweet of her!" a lithe Tubori woman with wavy ebon hair declares, giving an irritable flap of her elbows from her place perched on a chair. "And I feel fine anyway, so it's not all the chocolate!"

Rimilde von Rievirkrintz, Lady Justicar shoots a look over at a huge, young Hillman Reeve, "Cadet, just, don't eat the chocolate and keep an eye on things, no one has tried to hurt each other, but keep a close watch," she says to him. She looks over at Lord Ariel le Orban, Baron of Savir, "If I can fight in a mermaid skirt and a bustle, you can survive in it a few...hours, days...?" she says wincing a bit. "I mean... I could loan you something else," she says sympathetically... "Leather pants might be more your style?" She nudges Estone le Serlok, Lieutenant of the Queen's Guard with her elbow, "Stop fighting me," she says to him sharply. "If you want to have a drink, you need to behave first," she mutters, her tone a clear lecture. "I'm restraining you - like it or not, it's for your own good. I cannot trust you won't try to free yourself."

"Lord willing, Mister Zeekint," Ofelia expresses to Benne Zeekint, Chandler as he parts from his side as dignifiedly as he can in his too-short gown. "May he keep you as well," he bids, while he unhurriedly wanders his way over to the door, Remi and Iphigenie in his wake as always, and looking varying degrees of uncomfortable and entertained. One opens the door for him while the other brings up the rear, and he ducks out. [Ofelia]

Ofelia begins to move east.

Ofelia leaves east trying as best as he can to hide underneath a jaunty silken parasol, embroidered with floral patterning.
