As simple as it is, a command that captures any output that would go to people in the room and returns it to use. Would be pretty handy for us, new folk, who are still learning the ropes of how the parser and commands work.

Example usage:
echo look
> ""
returns nothing since look is silent for other people
echo emote says to /dumbo "Hello there!"
> "Smartypants says to Puciek "Hello there!"

You get the idea, simply returns the output to you, instead of broadcasting it.

This really would be nice.

From looks, to targeted emotes, to just so many things, this would make me a very happy noob.

Basically a way to test commands before actually committing to them. Currently with some people there is a lot on mistargetting due to items on a person, or short descriptions of already remembered people.

Example : I want to adjust the hood on my head. So I would use -

emote shifts #hood, a tendril of hair spilling from beneath the silk.
OUTPUT INTO PUBLIC: Gwenith shifts a silvery-black hooded silk cloak with etched in embroidery, a tendril of hair spilling from beneath the silk. (WRONG!!)

Which is obviously not what I wanted. If I used -
emecho shifts #hood, a tendril of hair spilling from beneath the silk.
OUTPUT TO PLAYER: Gwenith shifts a silvery-black hooded silk cloak with etched in embroidery, a tendril of hair spilling from beneath the silk.
OUTPUT TO PUBLIC: <nil>

I would know then that that's not what I intended so I fix it and get with tweaking -Gwenith shifts a silk varvadian hood with pearl billiment on black banding, a tendril of hair spilling from beneath the silk. (YAY! NO MORE FIX TAGS!)
