RPXP Bank! aka A way to squirrel RPXP!

This is an idea I had that I forgot to bring up in the ooc chat.
I have already talked to Morgen about it and he thinks it is a decent idea, which for me is rare lol

The idea of this rpxp bank is to store away rpxp, when you have a surplus of it, so that you do not use it up while pooling skills. Yes, this maybe sound ridiculous now, but just listen!

The idea behind this is so that you can save up rpxp for things that would not be for skills, like purchasing wealth, or silver, or what have you. I personally would like a 'rainy day fund' of rpxp to have, just in case I feel the need to throw a party, and a loaded table may not compass my entire need.

It would work like the normal bank with silver. Deposit 1000 rpxp. And 1000 rpxp is removed from your normal 'pool' of rpxp into a 'no-drain' account. If you are low on money, and needed more coamjar, or food, or a dastardly thief stole your favorite codpiece, you can 'withdraw 500 rpxp' and use it to purchase 500 rpxp worth of silver. On another hand, say you are a crafter, and you use a good chunk of your silver to buy ores, one could logically think to start storing away rpxp to purchase silver for more ores, when it is needed.

On the other hand, I think I would also use it for skill training management. Okay, I want to raise my dagger and footwork skill up. I go to the trainers, get it pooling to where I would like it, and then withdraw the amount of rpxp to raise it to the next level. This would be more towards the higher levels, because the lower levels, like proficient and down, are greatly lower then adept and above. I would also feel more in control of what I was learning and how I was spending my rpxp, because I have a habit of not realizing I am pooling something, normally high ranking magic that I would not normally 'learn block'.

Lastly, I know that at least a few players, normally gentry, like to save up to purchase wealth. What an easy way to store away rpxp for the long run to purchase wealth without having to worry about draining it with skill pooling!

I normall don't think this far into ideas, but I did think of some cons, and some solutions to them as well.
I don't want to bash anyone on the pbase with any of these. I trust every one of you, and believe that we are all decent, trustworthy players.

My first con is that I could see a person, making a new alt and just depositing the free starting rpxp into the xp bank to give to thier alts. Solution: I know that the free starting rpxp is locked to the alt, but I am not sure how this would be coded, so there might need to be a safeguard for that.

Second con, I can see people getting frustrated if they realize that their normal pool is too low, too late. No one likes to see that nasty cyan echo that you don't have enough rpxp to advance to the next rank, Especially if there is enough rpxp in your 'bank' to make it tick over. Solution: Maybe code like an 'overdraft' effect into, for certain skills, and make it part of the learn system? Or perhaps, though back a pause on having tick over, and have it ask if you want to withdraw some rpxp from your bank to advance to the next level.


I hope that is is possible for Az to code, and that most of you guys like the idea, because honestly, I can see it being a very valuable coded system that would make rpxp use and game play that much more sauve and enjoyable!

Can we not already horde rpxp using the 'learn block' command?

I mentioned that on OOC as well.
If you have X amount of xp, and only want to spend X amount for a few ranks, then just train the skill, let it bump up then learn block to wipe all the pooled training you have.

I actually kind of like this for convenience, anyhow. Easier than learn blocking half a dozen skills if you use a bunch like I do.
