Sometimes, these enormous estates show up on the real estate office's market - once owned by players who spent months or even years adding onto them, maybe even multiple wealth purchases - and even the most wealthy players couldn't buy them outright, even at a substantial discount. It might be nice to have the option of renting these houses rather than having to buy them!

Echos emma's statement. 375 gold... psssh that is chump change.

But I also think this is a great idea. I know there have been plenty of homes I would love to own/use, but can never get the silver for it. I'd even like to see a payment plan option, where you pay more than the house is worth in the long run, but you pay it off slowly. And if you don't pay off the required amount every week, after several weeks you are evicted.

Fantasic idea, yes please.

To get to a suitable rent value, perhaps simply double the amount that an owner would normally pay in tax and perhaps a one off 'bond' that is a percentage of the house value (5%?)

Maybe yes in the long term, but in the short term, it'd be unwieldy in our system to manage and track, etc.
