As the title says, I think it'd be helpful to show the total items you're carrying on the inventory page. Weight would also make sense to be shown on the inventory page. I find it odd that I can see my items using inv, but have to go to score to see how many of them there are/how much they weigh.

If too many people think it too verbose, maybe make the default the current inv output and add an argument "inv info" or "inv verbose" or whatever to show the additional information.
