Reclaiming Metal Crafts

Would there be any way you guys would consider implementing an ability to allow jewelers and blacksmiths to melt down crafts to reclaim metal? Like say... AS A PURELY NON SPECIFIC AND RANDOM EXAMPLE. If you had 30 silver spurs lying about, you could melt those suckers down but you would only get... half the silver which went into them back. A set of spurs cost two bars to craft. So if you melted down a set, you would only get one bar back. (With a chance to fail and lose it all, of course). And then that silver could go toward helping bebe silversmiths train rather than having 30 spurs lying about that no one is ever going to use.

As a purely non specific and random example, mind you.

As I understand this could be heavily abused by someone trying to skill grind (make a craft, melt it, make it again for half the cost), this could be an ability reserved for Master Blacksmiths/Jewelers. So there would be no possibility for abuse at that point (that I can think of).

We have a plan to make it so you can salvage some returns from crafts - the plan was to get the failure returns back on salvaging an item. Unfortunately, this needs some low level edits in crafting before it can be made to work. We want to do it though.

Good to hear! Having been cleaning out old merchant properties lately and just finding a... shit ton of unfinished metal crafts everywhere (for lack of more elegant phrasing), this was the first thing which came to mind as a way to repurpose materials.

If you have a 'ton' of half metal, you can probably RPA to swap things in or something in the meantime.
