I'm Laura, registerednuisance, NaNaNaNa, Zanthia (on all historical TIs and dead here), Nagaita, and a handful of others (on oldTIs). I'm a registered nurse, a total medical nerd, a semi gaming nerd, and very sarcastic. I spend my free time mudding, and sleeping. Otherwise I'm working.
Sidenote, I tend to work 3-5 12hr shifts in a row (then have a few days off) where ever possible. So if it's taking 3ish RL days to get back to you, don't get too offended, plz ;)

Grew up in Malaysia and residing in NZ, hence the horrible timezones I've been in almost all the time. Chronic insomnia and inability to sleep before 5am helps a little though. Hold a pharmacy degree, currently plugging my way through a fast-track course as prep for a Computer Science masters. I pretty much spend all of my free time playing computer games, reading/browsing or hanging with the bf, hence my inability to understand the pop culture jokes on OOC channels. >.>

I live near Seattle and drive a school bus, but lately I've been moonlighting a vampire shift doing night audit for a hotel. ...I plan to be more exciting than just that one line, eventually, and I'll be back then to update. <.<

I am a graduate student pursuing a master's degree in English Lit. My thesis and comps are the only things left. My main research paper is on psychological/cultural changes resulting from the deregulation of television under Reagan as manifest in contemporary literature. My research is taking me closer to what I hope is a new way to use literature - and the mythology that it transmits - to understand history and the people that make it.
I have been in a physical relationship with words for the last four years while working at a small digital print/copy shop. I am an avid cook, a published poet, an Eagle Scout and a horrible procrastinator. I will read anything from the Princeton/Bollingen Series of the occult/religion/philosophy vein. There is nothing I enjoy more than a good story, especially when I can make a world that is as fantastic as it is believable. I am a Texan, though most Texans do not believe it.
