I was recently in a scene with someone, for about 4 hours. We both were posing Long posts, and long posts take time. I was sitting at low and average for the majority of the scene, and made, if memory serves me right, roughly 400 xp for the whole 4 hour scene. That seems really, really small and honestly the time invested would not be worth the gain were it not for the actual rp outcome.
