OOC Meeting 7-26-2025

by Eloxotzi
Rambling claims, "Oooooh right the funny tangent at the meeting."

The following information is recorded about it:
Much like gardening or other similar shears, the metal of the snippers bears
a green gleam to its surface. Decorative vines adorn each of its arms,
carefully positioned to not interfere with the use of it. The head of the
tool provides the more unique decoration, though - the two separate pieces
moving like the opening and closing mouth of a carnivorous Zataigan snaptrap
plant, a ridge serving as plantly lips turned up in a devious sort of grin.
Spots provide a bit of a whimsical touch without really doing too much to
distract from the slightly menacing quality or the cutting edge within its
maw.

It is priced at approximately 20 silver.
This 'a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw' is a kind of prop.
It appears to be made of iron.
It looks to be in excellent condition.
It weighs around 2 pounds.
It can be worn as follows: take hold
It could be easily held in one hand. (Actual size: 5)
Its value should be approximately 20 silver.

Rosethorn declares, "Exciting!"

Dorothy gives a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw to HIEROPHANT.

Dorothy gives a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw to Valora.

Valora waves at everyone.

Calivion stops using an etched steel throwing dagger with a fish along the spine.

Meiari lifts a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw to her nose and sniffs at
it.

Calivion holds a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw in his hand.

Calivion wiggles the arms on his snippers open and closed, causing the little snaptrap mouth to open
and close threateningly.

Dorothy gives a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw to Ikeala.

Calivion chases rose with the snippers

Rosethorn flails!

Rambling claims, "S-s-s-s-s-scissorman"

Temi states, "Now, now, no snipping your fellow players."

InvestSouthside queries, "I thought we encouraged antagonism?"

Valora lifts a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw to her nose and sniffs at
it.

Dorothy gives a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw to Brenier.

Temi declaims to InvestSouthside, "After chat!"

Brenier declares, "Oooh, neat snippers!"

Rambling presents https:/www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WxrXvDdKuw the theme of all that scissor stuff.

Temi says, "Alrighty! So, Karrin had a bad attack of the real-lifes, so she wasn't going to be able
to show up today."

Brenier states, "Damned real-lifes."

Temi nods in agreement.

Temi says, "They should stop that."

Brenier states, "Agreed."

Valora says, "Oh no. Damn real life. Always having events when TI is. We should talk to their staff
about about that."

Temi muses to Dorothy, "I don't think we've had an OOC Chat with you since you've started, yes?"

Dorothy trails off, "Nope! Last one was cancelled..."

Valora waves at new staff.

Temi declares, "Alrighty, well, for those who have not yet noticed, we have a Dorothy! She's come
on board to help with building and other such things and we're very excited about it! So please
welcome her onboard and be nice to her!"

Temi exclaims, "Oh, and this is Toto!"

Temi waves to a roly-poly black puppy.

Rambling declaims, "Two of them !!"

Rosethorn claims, "Adorable"

Calivion states, "I was going to ask how many times I can get away with Kansas jokes. The answer is
aparently a lot."

Temi queries to Dorothy, "Want to give a little introduction for yourself and what you've been up
to?"

Temi grins at Calivion.

Dorothy declares, "Definitely not in Kansas anymore... Hi! I'm Dorothy. I'm still learning quite a
bit, went around and ate all the snow sometime last week so we can get fresh stuff this upcomming
winter. And if you have any questions I'll do my best to help!"

Ikeala claims, "Nom nom."

Valora trails off, "Last years snow had to be mostly dust and dirt... doesn't seem sanitary..."

Temi grins at Valora.

Dorothy says, "There was a little bit of grit - but that's okay! That's what the carrot was for, I'm
sure."

Temi claims, "Healthy"

Temi nods in agreement.

Brenier exclaims, "Welcome Dorothy and thanks!"

HIEROPHANT claims, "I'll be sure to make it snow in the wrong season again for when you get
peckish."

Temi declares, "Very generous of you!"

HIEROPHANT states, "I am a river to my people."

Temi wonders, "Okay. Any questions for Dorothy?"

Valora queries, "You know... I've never seen a tornado in TI. Is that the next header with the new
staff?"

Dorothy grins.

Temi declares, "It could happen!"

Temi says, "I'm sure you all need a break from politics"

Rambling states, "No breaks on that train"

Ikeala claims, "I'll pass the tornado request to the Air mages."

Rambling says, "WE'RE GOING OFF THE RAILS ON THE heresy TRAIN"

Valora states, "I have never engaged in politics since coming on grid. I simply serve the lord."

Temi claims, "Oh, yeah, no breaks until you crash, I'm sure."

Valora stares at Ikeala and sharpens her sword.

Meiari states, "Who needs breaks in Lithmore? Just go go go."

Rambling states, "Burnout is a symptom of magery"

Temi wonders, "Oh! I didn't ask for a scribe. Anyone up for scribing?"

Brenier declares, "I'm too new to need breaks!"

Temi states, "Hopefully someone with a little patience given the current situation on the forums."

Ikeala states, "Oh no, the poor forums. "

InvestSouthside says, "I got it going already lol"

Temi has awarded you 3 QPs: Scribe

Temi pontificates, "Thank you!"

InvestSouthside takes the forever scribe hat off the mantle and sits happily.

Temi finishes abruptly, "We are discussing what to do about them - maybe migrating to something
else, and seeing if we can save the archives"

Dorothy gives a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw to cat.

Temi states, "We just introduced Dorothy officially and were talking about the forums"

cat claims, "Oh boy"

Temi says, "But anyway, no official update on the forums yet, but we're aware of that and may have
do something more drastic there, hopefully where we can keep all our old archives"

Temi has transferred ThatBard. [OOC]

Dorothy gives a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw to ThatBard.

Temi exclaims, "And for you too!"

Temi says, "We just introduced Dorothy officially and were talking about the forums"

Temi states, "But anyway, no official update on the forums yet, but we're aware of that and may have
do something more drastic there, hopefully where we can keep all our old archives"

ThatBard states, "Opps XD"

Temi claims, "And onto my update - we're winding towards a crescendo on the big plot - I did want to
talk to you all about what you would like that to look like."

Meiari trails off, "Yeah... there's a lot on there, it would suck to lose it T_T"

cat claims, "Murder"

Dorothy gives a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw to Scarry.

Valora claims, "I mean I assumed there would be a period of siege on the city before a final battle
so was planning to prepare the city for that... if we are discussing the header end lol."

Scarry says, "Hello my middle daughter was fussy today"

Scarry claims, "What did I miss"

Temi claims, "We're just chatting about what you all might like the end of the big plot to look
like"

Brenier says, "Can the King be burned for heresy? If so, that. And yes, what Valora said."

HIEROPHANT says, "I would like to see more on-grid activities that people can do to contribute to a
big climactic event."

Brenier says, "That'd be cool."

Temi states, "I didn't have a specific plan in mind yet because I've left a lot up to what players
do, but I've turned things towards the city for the big crescendo and I wanted to discuss with you
all what you wanted to see as we get to there"

Rambling states, "Only reason you haven't seen much from me lately is the stress from the past month
piled up in ways I wasn't actually prepped for and the past week and a half has seen me need a major
recharge"

Meiari trails off, "I have a specific goal in mind, which will likely be revealed in this week's
plot I submit... otherwise agree with Valora and Hierophant"

Ikeala claims, "Letting fighty types have a fight feels like it would be a good aapect"

Scarry exclaims, "Well, I presume we will be under siege at some point! So going outside will be
hard!"

cat states, "KILL"

Temi asks, "Provided we don't have any specific abortive activities that would prevent it being
necessary... *cough* sounds like a big grid wide event with an actual fighty type battle and siege
stuff is desirable?"

Brenier says, "We've trained for this, let us KILL as cat so eloquently put it."

ThatBard declares, "Yes!"

Temi muses, "What sort of on grid activities are you thinking? Like defenses and gathering supplies
and stuff?"

ThatBard asks, "Can we actually build defenses and siege stuff?"

Valora states, "I like how the header has developed. I was expecting to close the gates and prepare
for battle on the walls hear in a few weeks or less. Combat training with anyone who wants it,
gathering supplies outside the city before the gates close, and as people fight they get wounds for
physicians to treat on NPCs and players was my kind of... major points I expected but not demand. "

Meiari states, "The Merchants did get that siege engineer from Vandago - so utilizing them would be
cool."

ThatBard says, "I imagine having boiling pots of oil placed along the wall to pour down at the
unsuspecting enemies and putting down weapon racks for archers and stuff."

Temi finishes abruptly, "Well, we're discussing now what we can do - and I figure a week or two for
me to prepare for it on my side"

HIEROPHANT states, "That, but also - my thought is, armies don't just arrive on your doorstep
instantly, right. They have scouts, raiding parties, outrunners, all sorts of stuff in advance. It'd
be neat if there were little pockets of NPCs of the various involved factions - Amir, Alessandra,
and I suppose also the Knights - in little encampments, using the new mobprog that helps deploy
camps, that players could either go add things to (weapons, armor, etc) or attack, steal from, or
destroy, outside the city."

Temi states, "So I think there's some flexibility in what we can do"

Scarry claims, "Weeeell"

Scarry trails off, "I had also an idea about the whole King's army..."

HIEROPHANT says, "And then when the big climax happens, whatever's in those camps is counted toward
its outcome"

Valora states, "A chance for merchants or artists to show off creativity crafting to prepare for the
siege would be cool. Hierophant also raises a cool idea."

HIEROPHANT says, "That way, it's not all stuck in plot contributions - the items and so forth are
actually out there for folks to interact with and perhaps fight over."

Scarry states, "But this is a plot kind of deal, not on grid."

ThatBard states, "I like Hierophants idea."

Scarry claims, "Hierophant's idea actually sounds really cool."

ThatBard states, "I was also thinking we put down special siege items installed in on grid rooms as
a sort of visualization of our preparation progress."

Valora declaims, "Total IC/OOC bias but a chance to rally up the Knights and allied players to
strike out at initial camps would be so cool!"

HIEROPHANT says, "It's probably a fair amount of work to set up, but - we have Dorothy to help with
the room-building stuff, yes? Especially if the rooms are simple and re-usable thanks to the camp
mobprog."

Temi wonders to Scarry, "What's that?"

Temi states, "Might need to simplify that to some extent, but I think something in this direction is
at least entirely possible, in any case"

Temi says, "And I can chat with Dorothy about what she might be up for as far as helping with some
camps, for sure"

Temi says, "We're still training on some of that building learningr"

Temi grins.

Dorothy nods. "I'm up for learning on the job, so to speak - but that does mean you all might need
to work with me a bit haha."

Scarry states, "I don't wanna tell the class."

Temi claims, "Happy to chat with you about it in private, sure"

Temi nods at Scarry.

HIEROPHANT says, "It's just an idea - the goal, I think, is just to have things on grid that require
people to tackle in small groups. Little activities for 3+ people."

Ikeala has been transferred out by Temi. [OOC]

HIEROPHANT says, "I'm sure a lot of folks are quite done with sitting in their shop or guild
crafting many many things, by now. There's been a lot of that."

Temi nods at HIEROPHANT.

Valora states, "Targets for martial players to clear together in sallies of small groups sounds like
a really fun way to encourage activity, coordination, and on grid stats/rp over plots."

Meiari claims, "Give the physicians something to bandage too"

Scarry states, "Yeah get hurt badly, I want to keep my champion."

Valora claims, "True more wounds on players means more Physician RP"

Valora says, "And XP for their eternal champion fight true."

Scarry claims, "The only drawback on this is that you have to RP with me."

Temi finishes abruptly, "Yeah, that's entirely fair. We definitely don't need it to be just grind
more crafty stuff - though for those who do want to grind more crafty stuff there's always more
benefit to that"

ThatBard claims, "Make the army npc kick our butts so we can be treated by the doctors. They
probably need to be really beefy. We could also have like a boss structure. One camp Leader with big
stats and many tiny boys around them. That way it would make it more interesting. Like a tiny MMO
raid."

Temi has transferred Capitalism. [OOC]

Valora says, "Though with how random NPCs are and that they ignore range them all attacking at once
means numbers need to be... carefully abstracted."

Dorothy gives a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw to Capitalism.

Temi claims, "And Alessandra does have further to go than Amir so if you want to accept her help
then slowing down Amir's progress is probably important"

HIEROPHANT states, "You still -can- do those things and interact via plot obviously. But I think
some on-grid stuff, especially things we can get cyans in on to help out with in groups of players,
that would be great."

Meiari squints at Alessandra.

Temi questions, "Anyway! I'll discuss with Dorothy and Karrin about what we can get in place. Do
you guys think one or two weeks of this sort of stuff?"

Valora claims, "Actually I have a question on that."

Temi nods at Valora.

Valora states, "The King and Princess."

HIEROPHANT says, "Two weeks seems good"

HIEROPHANT states, "More time to prepare and deploy things, and more time to interact, but not toooo
much"

Valora muses, "For the distances and timelines for the major factions (Amir, Alessandra, and the
Knights) do we need to specify in plots to get a timeline for who arrives when and the OOC timeline
or can we ask that hear?"

Temi says, "Alright. I'll put something on the calendar for two weeks then tentatively"

Valora says, "Oh oof... yeah two weeks is good."

Rambling says, "Perfect amount of time to pester NPC subordinates."

Temi states, "If you want something more precise, it probably needs a plot, but in general, you can
look at a map, and Amir has just been in Perche and Alessandra has just been in Iglisrich"

Rambling wonders, "Is she okay? /j"

Temi grins.

Temi says, "As of last report, no evidence to the contrary"

Capitalism claims, "Does this mean she's the new importer of Iglistone? Sweet."

Valora states, "Okays! Works for me. Doesn't really affect my plots was more for others lol."

Meiari trails off, "Capitalism would be looking at the import map in the middle of a war..."

Valora claims, "Yes capitalism and Amir is bringing Perche Pike you should go meet him."

Capitalism says, "Eww... pike."

Rambling states, "'Robert Baratheon is mad, you should go talk to him' look I barely read the books
or watched the show but I know enough to know that's a terrible idea."

Temi questions, "Alrighty! Anything else on this? Or let's move onto the player heartbeat"

Brenier states, "Definitely love the idea of doing more stuff on grid. Besides grinding out
industrial scale quantities of medicine."

Dorothy gives a pair of vine-tendriled snippers adorned as a snaptrap maw to Gordon.

Scarry claims, "Yes let's not do that again."

Scarry says, "My poor guild... Suffering under my draconian medicine sweatshops."

Brenier states, "I enjoyed it, lol."

Temi asks, "Alrighty, player heartbeat! How went RP this week folks?"

Capitalism states, "Went great for me. I got a ceremony at the start of the week."

Temi exclaims, "Exciting stuff!"

Meiari declaims, "I've been a little overwhelmed and braindead this week, but the scenes I've gotten
in were good. Mail has been even better! And thank you everyone for coming out to Capitalism's
ceremony :P"

Scarry claims, "I had a good time, although it has slowed down a bit for me because european hours
are slower late in summer lol."

Temi claims, "I know July tends to be a bit slower with lots of folks out on vacations"

Brenier says, "It was good."

Rosethorn declares, "About the same lol - bad brain week but the rp I've gotten to do is good!"

Rambling queries, "Mentioned before I wasn't really around after Saturday, past week or two have had
me in... idk recovery mode?"

Scarry trails off, "I call in doubt that Meiari has a brain..."

Calivion claims, "I know I am kind of sketchy on times but I try to be around. If you need me send a
letter and I will try to get back to you"

Meiari states, "Fair, I also doubt that lol"

Capitalism states, "I second this call Scarry."

Scarry states, "She's too much like me and I'm an amoeba."

Valora states, "Sorry a bit slow today but yeah been a good and busy week! Super fun when on."

HIEROPHANT claims, "You can send me mail too."

Capitalism claims, "Send mail to your local Hierophant today! He has cookies."

InvestSouthside says, "Super lowkey week here, sent mail and lazed but prepping for some fun this
upcoming week."

Temi states, "Hopefully things should start to pick up again as folks start to get back into the
normal swing of things."

Temi asks, "Anything bothering anyone that staff ought to know about?"

HIEROPHANT exclaims, "Oh! Yes, actually"

Brenier asks, "Yes. Why isn't there a recipe for bulk food scraps?"

Brenier weeps.

HIEROPHANT states, "Or, not bothering so much as I think a bit of plot policy might've been
forgotten in this whole header, maybe"

Valora says, "Nothing for staff, mild PSA."

Capitalism says, "Note to self... reach out via plots about stuff. Totally not shady... hundred
percent above board."

HIEROPHANT says, "Trying to find the exact helpfile, uno momento"

Brenier states, "Oh, on a more serious note. Why are polearms INT based? That seems kind of weird
for a big, heavy weapon."

Valora claims, "Ok actually scratch that. Brenier raises a great point about scraps."

HIEROPHANT claims, "The answer to that is almost certainly 'nobody asked for it yet'."

Temi claims to Brenier, "Because we tend to build bulk recipes around things that are input recipes
into multiple different recipes"

HIEROPHANT says, "It'd be handy for compost or for feeding animals."

Brenier says, "Yeah I use it for making compost."

Valora claims, "Please my animals hunger and bulk would help."

HIEROPHANT states, "I did find the thing I want to point out so I'll pretype a bit for when this is
done"

Brenier claims, "In fact, it's the only thing I use for making compost."

Brenier trails off, "And since I make bulk compost for the Madison because the gardens need a
lot..."

Temi muses, "No idea why on int for polearms. I think it was mostly just Kin or Az trying to spread
the stats out across different weapons and that one seemed like it took some strategy?"

Scarry claims, "Well, I do HEMA and I think that is true of polearms."

Scarry states, "..."

Scarry says, "But also any other weapon lol"

Brenier claims, "Considering polearms are the weapons of peasant mobs, I'm going to say...probably
not in general."

Valora claims, "In a 1v1 Polearms are the most demanding when it comes to minding your distance and
reach. Less so in groups."

HIEROPHANT states, "The context of most coded weapons in TI is a very small-scale encounter, if not
a 1v1 outright, yeah."

Valora states, "Big brain 1v1, small brain group"

HIEROPHANT says, "That said, a mental stat as a weapon requirement is weird."

Brenier claims, "1v1 yeah"

Gordon wonders, "Maybe our peasant have an average IQ of 200?"

Scarry questions, "You know what I would give polearms?"

Scarry states, "Endurance."

HIEROPHANT says, "But I'm of the radical opinion that weapon skills shouldn't have stat requirements
because weapons already rely on stats through accuracy and damage scaling."

Temi says, "But anyway, not really sure, but I'm guessing more game design decision than necessarily
pure logic"

Scarry claims, "Especially like halberds and such get fucking TIRING after a while."

HIEROPHANT nods.

Valora shrugs. "No strong opinion personally."

Brenier says, "I don't really care so much as found it weird."

Temi questions, "Alright, the plot policy bit?"

Brenier pontificates, "(but I do care about bulk food scraps)!"

HIEROPHANT says, "Yeah. It's not in an actual policy helpfile for... some reason.

In help general plot rewards , resolved plots are meant to give both QP - which is being handed out
for sure - and Rec Lvl, which from the folks I've talked to, isn't (at least, not consistently).

Obviously this doesn't affect me, I'm an old enough character that I've been at 100 percent rec for
a while now. But it would be good if these header plots can be an outlet for new characters to
generate rec level on top of recommends, which have become a more scarce thing of late for a variety
of reasons (that we don't need to get into, necessarily)."

Temi claims, "Yeah, everybody's getting qp and rec level for these header plots, for the ones they
lead. Not a big reward, but it should be a point on each one of those. Probably just not visible
with the cap already"

HIEROPHANT says, "Thankfully every single plot is on record, so if anyone feels they've been missed
it should be easy enough to parse"

Scarry questions, "Does rec level decay?"

Temi says, "If not, there's something broken with the system, but I've generally been awarding 1 qp
and 1 rec for any standard involvement plot throughout"

HIEROPHANT says, "I... think it does, but not once you reach 100 - at that point it's locked-in."

HIEROPHANT nods.

Scarry claims, "Then nevermind"

Temi says, "I don't believe so currently, though there was talk it would"

Meiari pontificates, "Wait rec level decays?!"

HIEROPHANT claims, "It's just stuff I've heard from talking to folks over the past few weeks, and it
seems like it's a really, really easy thing to miss when you resolve like. 15 plots in 3 days."

HIEROPHANT says, "I think it does if you're not at 100 and go inactive for a long period, but I
can't be sure. I've never been inactive long enough, and I hit 100 pretty quickly on both of my
characters so far."

HIEROPHANT says, "Staff keeping 'REMEMBER TO RECOMMEND!!!!' in their who-title for months on end
helped with that, haha"

Valora says, "I feel like mine is off but it's so hard to tell. Note to new players keep good
records. Lots of moving parts it's easy to lose track of things and where you should be. Not just
for this but IC with guild stuff and what not."

Temi states, "It can definitely be lost if you fall off the master list, though that's something
else."

HIEROPHANT says to Temi, "I know I get a notification on-login when I get the QP awarded when I'm
not online. I think it might just be that there's no equivalent notification for rec level."

Scarry claims, "I recounted plots I put in and it is actually probably correct."

Temi nods at HIEROPHANT.

Temi states, "That's probably part of it"

HIEROPHANT claims, "I think I'll put that on the ideas board."

HIEROPHANT says, "Both to notify people and also, if they log their game sessions, they can use the
logs to track how much they've accrued just in case there's another dastardly database failure like
there was last year."

HIEROPHANT claims, "That's my PSA. Log everything ever. "

Temi states, "Alrighty! Well, did anyone have topics that they wanted to go over today? We are
actually out of time, but I didn't get anything on the list already."

Valora shakes head.

Meiari says, "I don't have anything :)"

Temi asks, "Okay! Any last minute stuff before I go ahead and send folks back then?"

Brenier claims, "Nah except BULK FOOD SCRAPS."

Capitalism states, "Explosions! Also and buy stuff from your local Merchants."

Meiari dances in war is coming to town!

ThatBard says, "For logging it would also be cool to change the message to something like: 'was
awarded 1 Qp for x. Now has <number of Qp> QP.'"

Capitalism dances in Merchant of Death selling weaponry and armor.

Temi grins at Brenier.

Temi pontificates, "Alrighty. Okay, back to trouble with you all! Have fun!"
