I keep waiting for the "perfect" OOC moment (irl) when I would be most likely to be able to sit down and tune in to my PC, but it hasn't come yet. I also tell myself that I can't quite RP for one or two hours, and decide not to log in at all. Is TI something that can be done in short bursts?
...I know these thoughts are not helping me, so I was hoping that other players could show me the "light".

(This was embarrassing to post and I ponder leaving it up. I'm not looking for attention, I really do have some peculiar RP setbacks that get in the way of actually RPing. Where else can I get some insight?)
Thanks in advance.

I don't get much time to play either. More often than I'd like, I end up in the middle of scene and then RL happens and I have to scram. Other players, though, have always been extremely accommodating when I've had to toss out a quick 'hey, I have to wrap this is up in the next five minutes' or an 'I gotta leave NOW, sorry!'. I never ever get to play when I sit around waiting for the perfect moment.

Being busy IRL and in a time zone that isn't conducive to 'prime time', I have this problem a lot. I have a sort of 'mental checklist' that is waiting for the perfect storm, mostly based around having enough time for a 'decent' scene although there are other things that factor into it, too. I'm finding it easier with a new alt that has less demands built in.

However, I do have to agree with Lei- people have generally been extremely understanding.

For the casual "Bar Scene" people come and go all the time. I have seen people walk in, pose once, then walk back out ten minutes later. I would say on balance unlike some MUDs, TI is pretty laid back about this sort of thing. RL happens.

I would add though if you are looking for someone specific for a specific type of scene (Reviews of Faith come to mind) send the other party a pboard. Most times people will be more than willing to schedule something with you that works for everyone.

I would also add that if you are looking for RP, check Where. Sometimes you will find people just chilling places that are open to being harassed. GLs with offices in Town Hall that have RP on are likely waiting to help someone.
