Hi guys.
I wanted to give a bit of OOC warning and explanation about the character of Farra being sent out of Lithmore and off-grid for an extended period of time here in the next few RL days. She'll be swooping back home to Hevstina to get out of the Capitol; this is a decision that, while supported by several angles ICly, is mostly an OOC thing and I wanted to be clear about why it's happening.
Farra is, by nature and design, a very high stress character to play. She is mean and abrasive, talks shit she can't back up, hates people for little to no reason, and is about as likely to bend as a cold bar of iron. All of this is good: I love playing her and it's so wonderful the OOC reception I get from a lot of people for playing a noble who acts like a spoiled brat, which Farra totes is.
I am, however, going through a very difficult time of my life health-wise. My recovery from an emergency that left me in a hospital bed for a full month is not going entirely smoothly and there's recently been some complications related to it— everything is going mostly well otherwise, I assure you all! But, since those complications, I've found it much, much more difficult to properly treat the bitchy side of Farra with the right amount of OOC enjoyment. I've gotten very spiteful OOCly at small details and am finding it difficult to both control my moods and manage my IRL stress when things don't go well for Farra, which she is designed to be a character that things don't go well for. Rather than entirely mellowing Farra out and compromising who she is, I'm choosing to bench her in favor of playing characters who rock the boat a little less.
Farra is not being deleted or liquidated; I fully plan on having her return once I'm in a more stable spot health-wise; she'll probably be even more vindictive and arrogant when she does come back... she'll have to make up for all the time she isn't able to make all you sort miserable, after all!
In the meantime, I still play Alara and hope to get her a bit more established, finally, and am working on creating another character. Both are generally more chill, friendly sorts that skirt stress. Thanks in advance for your understanding, ya'll!

Farra's been a great character to have around! It takes a lot of guts to try to stir things up around here, since the establishment is so solidified, and you've always done a fantastic job of it. I imagine it can definitely wear on you after a while, though, so I totally get needing to watch out for your own health. I hope that everything works out for you and that you'll be back to your healthy self in no time! Please take care!
