[Poll] How long (in OOC days) should gambits be open?

Greetings,
After our most recent, first gambit - I got the impression this one might have lingered a bit too long. Some people felt it gave plenty of time for people to post opinions, others told me it was dragging... now that we've actually run a gambit, can I get a sense for how long people think one ought to be?

I posted 9 days. I think a week + weekend would be nice, especially if it can be timed so it's always starts on a Friday and ends on a Sunday so people have a chance to do something even if their schedule is tight during the week or they are away for a weekend.

I'm keen for five days. People seem to sort out where they stand pretty quickly, after that it is mostly watching the clock tick down.

I like everyone getting their say, but I like the vast majority of people waiting for one or two people to have their say a bit less. Priorities, I guess.

5 days seems like it's a fair amount of time for those who want to get their two-cents in to get it in, but to also not drag it on longer than it should. Afterall it was around 3 days in, that it seemed like we generally knew the outcome.

I voted 5 days because that was the mark where all of us directly involved sort of started checking our watches and tapping our feet.
But, that being said, I don't think it's the worst thing to keep it as-is; the full week gave us plenty of time to meet once the outcome became obvious, and a couple guildmembers ICly negotiated a more amiable (or at least, by all appearances amiable!) resolution than an actual ousting.

I'd say 7 days because that makes sure to include the weekend if there are players who only/majorly play on weekends.
Maybe instead of cutting down the total time, an option could be added for the person who the gambit is about to codewise concede if they've decided to do so ICly.

I do like that idea, Starstarfish. +1 on that.

I like the idea for a concede command.
That said, we've moved gambits to 5 days.

Could we please move council mayor elections to 5 days as well, to match this? 10 days is too long.
