(visnet) Player Anonymous: Is there a way to restore a liquidated character to an account? If not: Is there a rule in place stating one cannot remake a character they had liquidated?
Asked earlier tonight. I'm hoping the policy answer on this is no. Liquidation isn't meant to be a casual thing. If people start liquidating and just rerolling in apps of the same old characters, that totally causes issues for everyone who had to RP that liquidation story (if there was any) or deal with the lack of one in the mean time.

Sounds like a question for request board, but liquidation was always seen as a final thing.

We have (rarely) allowed characters to return before provided we don't believe there is anything contentious about their returning and their reasons for liquidating were benign. In general, it is rare, and people who liquidate should NOT expect us to bring their characters back. It takes work and depends on old pfiles being compatible with the current system, and/or our actually having backups.
NOTE: We never bring back characters that were wrapped up by death.
