If people would like to share their submissions for the Tubori Racial Perspectives contest here instead of on the personal boards, it might be fun to make them public. Feel free to submit here or via pboard, as previously discussed.

To jog your memory, here's the contest:
We have some fun helpfiles on racial perspectives - check out help vavardi
perspectives, help vandagan perspectives and help lithmorran perspectives.
But we don't have them for every race! To fill them out, staff have decided
to hold a series of contests, one race at a time.

This one will be for Farin!

To enter, write a pboard to staff with a group (any race or guild), and a
quote that could summarize the average Farin opinion of them or post on
the forum post to share publicly.

For example: Order - "The backbone of our community."

You can submit as many entries as you like, and you will receive 1 QP for
each thematic submission made.

Then, we will close submissions on Monday 3/23/2020. At that point, the
entries that we select for use in the helpfile (one each per race and guild),
will receive an additional 3 QP.
Here's some more ideas to get the juices flowing:

Daravi - The only good Daravi is a dead Daravi.

Vandagan - Principles are not supposed to change because you found political advantage.

Troubadours - Excellent dancers, and I don't know how we'd keep informed without them.

Farin on Tubori:
The song says, "Tubori have the sweetest wine" but is missing the lines, "Their paradise, the Lord denies / All because of that evil vine."

Farin on Lithmorrans:
They, of all people, should know better.

Physicians: "Treat them with respect. You will owe one your life someday."

Vavardi: "Alcohol-addled easterners who care more of gold and their vices than faith or family. Why does that sound familiar?"

On the Tubori:

Let the Tubori boast of their gay gilded waters
Their vines and her bowers and her soft sunny skies
Their sons drinking love from the eyes of her daughters
Where freedom expires amid softness and sighs
Farin's blue mountains wild where hoary cliffs are piled
Towering in grandeur are dearer tae me
Land of the misty cloud land of the tempest loud
Land of the brave and proud land of the free
Enthroned on the peak of her own highland mountains
Te spirit of Farin reigns fearless and free
Her green tartan waving o'er blue rock and fountain
And proudly she sings looking over the Daravi
Here among my mountains wild I have serenely smiled
When armies and empires against me were hurled
Firm as my native rock I have withstood the shock
Of heathens, of traitors, of witchcraft and the world
But see how proudly her war steeds are prancing
Deep groves of steel trodden down in their path
The eyes of my sons like their bright swords are glancing
Triumphantly riding through ruin and death
Bold hearts and nodding plumes wave o'er their bloody tombs
Deepeyed in gore is the green tartan's wave
Shivering are the ranks of steel dire is the horseman's wheel
Victorious in battlefield Scotland the brave
Bold hearts and nodding plumes wave o'er their bloody tombs
Deepeyed in gore is the green tartan's wave
Shivering are the ranks of steel dire is the horseman's wheel
Victorious in battlefield Farin the brave
Victorious in battlefield Farin the brave

I haven't been good about getting this processed, but we're still pretty light on options. Does anyone have anything else to offer? Easy QP! I'll process things this weekend if we have a few more.

Farin on Brotherhood:
"Dishonorable thugs who should be drafted into service and put to some use."

Farin on Order:
"The bastion against the taint and the Daravi. All Farin children aspire to the Knighthood when young, and all proper Farin would lay down their lives to support them."

Farin on Merchants:
"Merchants fill a vital role. Those who overcharge in times of great need however, should be put to the pyre."

Farin on Troubadours:
"There can be no fete without music and dancing. A Fariner's duty is heavy, and without bards it might be unbearable."

Farin on Reeves:
"They do a job which should not be necessary Farin, but is unfortunately important nonetheless."

Farin on the Charali: Not to be trusted, even the slaves. A cursed people. Ever hear them talk? Sound just like the Daravi.
