Hi all & imms,

Could we please have performance skills added for the following, with pmotes enabled:
- Dancing
- Acrobatics
- Juggling

I know that this one has been discussed and requested in the past, but Kinky asked me to post it up here so that it serves as a reminder.

If/when dancing is enacted, I would ask that the current bards be given the chance to convert footwork to dancing, free of charge. I can say that for those who purchased in and wished to have dancing as their performance "skill", I told them to get footwork, as that was the closest analog available at the time.

Consider allowing players (not just bards) to convert footwork to the new dance skill for free to be accepted. It will be so.

I only said bards because I can name a couple that I specifically told "You want to buy in as a dancer, fine, but you need a skill at 41 to qualify at that rank. Buy footwork since its the closest we have to dancing" :)

Is okay, but may as well offer it to everyone, especially with the nobles getting their panties in a bunch about it being a required courtly skill or some such.

I like my noblemen muscley and mean. Screw this poofy fop stuff.

I take slight offense. :/ I don't think I'm 'getting my panties in a twist' so much as expressing my opinion about why it shouldn't be a required skill for our business, like <list of other examples I provided in other thread.>

That said, since it's clear that this is going in, regardless of my argument, I'd at least like the option to purchase up to where I should be as if from chargen- not switch footwork (a different skill that I have for different reasons,) to dancing.

I do think any new skills implemented in the game should be purchasable for the first week or so (unless it's too difficult to code to allow players to purchase ingame?).

It's probably too difficult to do that skill-by-skill, but it's easy enough for an imm to just set the skill upon request for the first week. The XP cost would be the same.
