So after the incident in River Square, this occurred to me.

When we see a shadow, we attack it, it goes away(I do do this for ic reasons).

But, all in all, that stops rp for the mage as the shadow.


" But Onyx, how can we help the poor shadow mage get more rp as a shadow?" you ask.

Easy! Could it be made possible that the person that strikes the shadow gets affected by Hex, or something similar? Some little thing that shows them interacting with the physical manifestation of the Void. I thought it would be an interesting thing, but don't know if it is doable, or even wanted.

I think it would be nice to have some consequence of touching the shadow (even if it's with a weapon). It does seem sort of anticlimactic for shadows to be simply dismissed with a quick smack.

At least if there's an effect people can still choose to dismiss the shadow, they just have to spend X hours weakened or blind or vomiting or whatever the effect ends up being.

Shadows can also "taint" you. Though the taint does nothing. But yah, some small consequence would be nice.
