Displeasure at Deletion of Old Chars
Just wanted to voice my disappointment with not getting any warning about the purge of old pfiles. I get the motivations for it, but it would have been nice to know that if we'd logged in a day prior a char would have been saved. I had a char that I am fond of that I dust off occasionally and was planning to do so in the near future and was surprised to see him gone. RIP

I didn't want to be the one to start the bitchfest about this myself, but I was rather perturbed that -- as a longtime and active current player -- I wasn't given the courtesy of a one or two week warning prior to this pfile wipe, which was apparently announced over a busy holiday weekend. Very uncool.
I'll just put in that it's been the policy for a while that characters under 500 rp hours that haven't been logged into in 6 months would be culled.
It's stated in help inactivity.

A warning would be a nice courtesy, but I wouldn't fault staff for cleaning out unused pfiles. After six OOC months without a login, regardless of wrapping up or not, the
pfile will drop off the master list. If there are less than 500 RP hours on
the character, it will be culled from the game.

I personally lost two alts to this pwipe, and not gonna lie, that really aggravated the heck out of me. With my limited play time, I've been focused pretty solely on playing the Seneschal and don't have a lot of time for alts right now. But it was still a slap in the face to find out that I'd lost hours of time spent on stringing clothes, writing up descs, etc.
A simple heads up would have gone a long way for me -- instead of making me feel like my time and effort are wasted on the game. As it is, I've checked out of OOC chats until I can get over it.

I don't get why these things get implemented without even a little fore warning on the pboards. It would save us all the grief
