As it seems to be, things are rolling over the Southside. After a long
period of relative quiet in the slums, it appears to be brewing something
once more. After a string of rampant skullduggery on the north side, an
amalgamation of fine goods and other rather conspicuous items in the pawn
shops in the south, it appears there has been a new rise to power among their
more shadowed group. Local businesses have begun paying their taxes again,
and, conveniently enough, new thugs have been sighted starting new mischief
from this sector of the city. The most recent of these events the cite the
dropping of an unrecognized Southside soul of Daravi, dead and covered in
muck dropped outside the church in the north side of the city, 'MAGE' carved
into their chest. Rumor has it they were bound in shackles bearing the
Justiciar's seal, the scales of justice.

Rising concerns over a divide between the social classes of Lithmore
accompanies rumors of a rash of break-ins throughout Lithmore. In the wake

to 'gainful and honest' opportunities - clearly attempting to draw a line
between those who are merely Freemen and the outright criminal.

what services exist for the middle and southern side of Lithmore.

The Holy Order executes Percivale and Truth for magery, Brands Eiphraem
Bells rang out on a cool Aprilis day, gathering the Faithful to River Square.
Citizens Percivale le Loring and Truth Crestmont were led from Ahalin to the
burning post. Grand Inquisitor ab Syme led the assembled faithful in a brief
sermon on the Law of Consortion and the urgent need for lesser sin to be
tempered by the practice of faith before it further festers during the pair's
cleansing the pair's cleansing.
With an iron heated in the coals of the still burning Pyre, Inquisitor Mazzo
branded Eiphraem on the back of his hand for having sought to take matters of
the Priesthood into his own. His penance: to bear the mark publicly for one
year, that he may meditate upon his failures to report sin; for attempting to
take matters of the soul into his own hands.

On the evening of Balasdes, Aprilis 28, 385 after a day of flying rumors and
tumultuous happenings all throughout the City of Lithmore the Lady Justiciar
Lyonie dul Acatsia brought a young man out of Ahalin tower flanked by her
Reeves. Upon taking her steps up the platform she pronounced the many crimes
of the Tenebrae, Kinney Mcclachlan: theft; the murder of at least three
Reeves including Otto Eyeler, household guards, and merchants; assault;
trespassing; and possession of various deadly poisons with an intention to
make attempts on her own life and the lives of others. Pronouncing that the
Law would not tolerate those who sowed terror, disunity, and death among the
people. At the conclusion of the speech the Reeve led the young man to the
platform, coiled the noose about his neck and opened the trapdoor hanging him
from the neck until dead.

It was a chilly Maius of 385 morning when the emissaries of the Grandmaster
council of the Knights Lithmorran gathered in the Holy City's keep to address
the matter of Dame Vlora von Vashaak's stepping down as Earl Marshall, after
a second, long tenure of service in which she saw all of her chapter's Knight
Venerables betraying their oaths and participating in the Regicide of Queen
Celeste I ab Samael.
All but one.
Having been offered the opportunity repeatedly in the past by Vlora von
Vashaak, Lans ab Durandal, who did not participate in the rebellion, finally
relented and accepted the honor. The Grandmasters agreed with her decision,
and declared the man the new Lord Earl Marshall.
He did not make any public speeches, and instead spent the day in solitary
prayer in the Keep's chapel.

An uneasy but optimistic accord grows between those of high and low birth in
Lithmore. Increased opportunities to work together - and thus gain each
other's relative trust - have put a mend to social relations in Lithmore.
For the moment, at least, those of differing status gather in taverns,
