Karrin pats HIEROPHANT's head.

InvestSouthside carefully considers a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri.

The following information is recorded about it:
Little dried flowers and assorted loose petals are mixed with dried pieces of
fruit and chunks of preserved citrus peel. They combine in a pungently
aromatic mix, pleasant in the nose, covering for other less pleasant scents
when held close to the nose. The whole thing is contained within a sachet of
a very light, loosely woven cloth that does not really obscure the contents.
Narrow ribbons cinch it closed at the top and hang a couple little charms, an
apple and a picture frame.

It is priced at approximately 30 silver.
This 'a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri' is a kind of prop.

August scans the area, looking for somewhere to hide.

August edges towards her chosen hiding spot.

August stops casting about for a hiding place.

Karrin has transferred Sparkles. [OOC]

Eeel questions, "Can I get one of the sachets?"

Baz flips a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri into the air, and catches it
as it begins its descent.

Temi gives a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri to Eeel.

Temi gives a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri to Sparkles.

Temi declares, "Ah, sorry I missed you!"

Eeel states, "Thank you :D"

Sparkles waves.

Karrin says, "Greetings everyone! Feel free to chat for a moment, we'll get started in about five."

Karrin says to Baz, "No torturing anyone."

Baz says, "But I wanna :'("

Katarina lifts a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri to her nose and sniffs at
it.

Katarina holds a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri in her hand.

Meiari lifts a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri to her nose and sniffs at
it.

Katarina holds her sachet up over her nose and mouth, breathing in deeply through the fragranced mid
-layer of potpourri.

Katarina stops using a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri.

Katarina says, "I like."

Scarry claims, "Hello, I am the local deadpool knockoff."

Temi grins.

HIEROPHANT lifts a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri to his nose and sniffs
at it.

Karrin claims, "Iiiiiffffffffff you are going to have a topic, please don't forget to pre-type. I
saw I stole everyone almost from mass, so I'll be able to throw you back in."

Karrin claims, "Once we are done here."

Pippa says, "I think it was pretty much done anyway"

Karrin states, "Oh! Good timing, then."

Meiari claims, "Yeah there were just a few stragglers puzzling out next plans"

Karrin asks, "Since we'll get started in a moment, do I have a volunteer for scribe?"

Karrin has transferred Dreams. [OOC]

Scarry states, "We have Southside here."

Temi gives a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri to Dreams.

InvestSouthside claims, "I will take it if no one wants it of course"

Karrin claims to InvestSouthside, "I think they just think you'll be doing it."

Dreams pontificates, "Thanks!"

InvestSouthside states, "I mean ill take the free qp never enough"

Karrin nods at InvestSouthside.

Karrin claims, "Alright, we'll get going then."

Karrin claims, "OOC Chat Rules:

- Approach each topic with the mindset that each person is doing the best they can with the
knowledge they have, staff and player alike.
- Please avoid topics around current events. Nothing should be revealed in an OOC meeting that
others would prefer to find out in game ICly.
- This is not the correct forum for criticism of a specific player or a topic centered around one
player. If there are concerns about a specific player, or specific policy violations, please address
that with staff privately."

Karrin asks, "So! How has RP been this week, everyone?"

InvestSouthside's opportunity to accept the Personal Event has expired.

Sanura states, "Busy very busy"

Baz states, "Fun and informative. It's like Sesame Street, but with the looming threat of execution"

Dreams states, "Very nice on my side, personally."

Katarina states, "Any day I can do mass is a good day."

Pippa states, "Good good. Lots of fun at the talent show, if that counts as 'this week'"

Valora claims, "Its been good. Many much scenes with my fellow Orderites which is always nice."

Karrin queries to Baz, "Are you Big Bird, then? Or Elmo?"

Meiari exclaims, "I've had more wins than loses so woodle!"

Karrin pontificates to Pippa, "I think it does!"

Valora states, "The Circus was always amazing yeah."

Karrin states to Meiari, "The losses can help you grow, though."

Baz queries to Karrin, "Can I be that Elmo doll that uses the toilet?"

Meiari claims, "So can wins *finger gun*"

Karrin says, "The circus was very good. Please remember to recommend the heck out of Theodora for
doing all of that, and those who participated in the other events."

Scarry claims, "I loved the bee horses."

Meiari says, "BEE HORSES"

Karrin chuckles.

Karrin muses, "Alright, anyone have a topic to register? I have one that we put a pin in last week
and were going to revisit, though the original person who brought up that topic isn't here. But
anyone else I can put on the list?"

Scarry states, "The circus was really cool, I had some decent RP, although I was around a bit less -
sorry for anyone who wanted to actually rp with me. We can still do that."

Karrin says, "Alrighty, if anyone thinks of something during the meeting, please do let me know and
I'll add you in. For now, we'll start with staff updates, so... Temi."

Karrin states, "Lochan is maybe here, maybe not. If he peeks at the screen on the player server,
I'll tag him in. But for now, he's been code digging after our day down."

Temi says, "Well, nothing particularly big. A bunch of discussions with Karrin on stuff"

Temi claims, "And I did create some new sewer stench, since I'd heard some folks might appreciate a
way to demonstrate how bad it smells"

Karrin queries to Temi, "Unskilled crafting?"

Temi claims, "We can't apply it automatically at this point, but it's available as an unskilled
craft in the sewers, yep"

Karrin claims, "So therefore, feel free to stink yourself up."

Temi nods at Karrin.

Karrin claims, "Temi's been my support for this whole header plot. I have been enjoying causing
chaos and seeing the plots flood in from that. I'll be processing all current ones attached to the
header tomorrow, so try to get those finished up for me if you can. I will continue causing chaos.
I'm sorry and you're welcome."

Karrin states, "That said, we have a few things on the request board that have been outstanding for
a while, also trying to get to THOSE this weekend, as well as process some book submissions (and
resulting QP and monies from that)."

Karrin states, "And that's all from me."

Karrin defers to Sparkles. "You had a topic."

Karrin has transferred Capitalism. [OOC]

Capitalism says, "Forgot this was earlier."

Karrin says, "We just got started, no worries at all."

Temi gives a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri to Capitalism.

Sparkles claims, "Hey friends! I'm so glad folks came and enjoyed the Circus. One thing I've noticed
over time is that scenes where folks are more audience than participants (and this can be Bard shows
in general) can lead to timeouts as folks aren't always certain/comfy like interrupting, and I
totally get that! As such, I'm kind of wondering if for scenes like that there's any idea at being
able to 'up' your AFK timer. And while I know that 'use a keepalive timer' is a valid option, I've
personally witnessed that going real poorly."

Temi claims, "Join places and jmotes are built especially for things like this, as one option"

Sparkles nods.

Karrin states, "Eh, I am not so sure. The AFK timer is a safety measure - if you step away and
forget to go afk and end up going idle, it can keep people from coming to beat you up when you can't
defend. I guess it would be fine if we could set it temporarily, and on logging back in, it reverts.
But, I'm not so sure I want people just doing... nothing... You can even type 'score' or 'where' or
'who' and your idle timer will reset."

Temi says, "I don't like using them in mingling situations where everyone is participating, even if
it's busy, but it's great when there's an audience and presenter type dynamic"

Karrin states, "Those don't interrupt IC things in the slightest."

Scarry states, "They do interrupt your own reading flow though."

Karrin nods in agreement with Temi.

Temi states, "Think is also a good option."

Karrin states, "Think is an excellent option."

Temi states, "You can give a private commentary to yourself (and any horribly mages listening in) on
your thoughts on what's going on"

Karrin claims, "I am a personal fan of who short. But, that's a me thing."

Scarry says, "Who, where, score, this all pushes emotes of other players away, which can be
distracting imo."

Karrin says to Scarry, "She also said 'think' is an option, which is very much IC."

InvestSouthside claims, "I just hit enter"

Baz says, "I use thinks and hemotes, rack up that legendary XP"

Karrin states, "And legitimately, yes. Hitting enter just pushes your prompt again if you have it
on."

Karrin claims, "And, August gives us a real life example here."

August claims, "Have mercy"

Temi nods in agreement with Baz.

Karrin pats August on the head.

Temi grins.

Baz finishes abruptly, "But I do understand - sometimes my puppy brings me a toy and I would be
perfidious if I didn't play with him, and sometimes that means idling out"

Karrin claims, "I'll THINK about it. But, I do think we have plenty of options for someone actively
at their keyboard to not idle out - even if it's just a quick enter command, or a think (which
boosts RPXP)."

Karrin states, "If they aren't actively at their screen, then idling out is safest for them."

Temi states, "We do prefer if people engage at least somewhat, even in big scenes where they aren't
the focus of attention"

Karrin has transferred Darshe. [OOC]

Darshe does a little dance.

Temi gives a pungent little sachet of dried fruit and floral potpourri to Darshe.

Karrin wonders, "Ok, we put a pin in the topic of more items decaying on grid. At current, raw food
items, etc, will decay unless in a cold room. Maat suggested decaying other items, like armor and
weapons (though those already have natural decay and need repairing or sharpening), or clothing, the
like. Now that we've had a week to think on it, any thoughts?"

Valora states, "So I personally haven't had much problem with this in public scenes but I have
noticed people who were active in the scene afk out because one stretch they didn't want to
interrupt... though I also know I've had scenes where you are having long conversations about
something really thought provoking and you need to take your time... though thats mostly an
annoyance than anything super concerning but that would be my... tangentially related issue."

Karrin nods at Valora.

Sparkles states, "Sometimes I cry if I press the enter and it nukes the emote I was typing."

Karrin says, "In private scenes, I think it's more up to the people privately scening. If they don't
mind the pace, nothing we should stick our noses into, necessarily."

Karrin states to Sparkles, "Oh no! Yeah, I have had that happen by accident."

Scarry claims, "I personally cannot wait for suddenly going butt naked and showing my bits in front
of a cyan and get banned because I forgot my pants decay in a day."

Karrin queries to Scarry, "Oh dear. Forgot your pants had huge holes, so now penance is due?"

Scarry claims, "More like I break the OOC rules of the game 'cuz I forgor :v"

InvestSouthside wonders, "Streaking party through lithmore?"

Magdalena shifts her eyes left and right.

Karrin claims to Scarry, "Ah, point. Something that wasn't brought up last week, too."

Sparkles states, "So on one hand, the fact that food doesn't decay means things like ... there's
less reason to buy new stuff versus just stockpile forever. On the other hand, given how tailor is
already one of the highest burnout crafting positions, I don't know that adding repairs is going to
help that."

Baz states, "Food should turn into food scraps after awhile"

Karrin claims, "Yeah, I'm not keen on the clothes doing it - tailoring is an incredibly intensive
craft set, and I don't think we should do that to them, really."

Scarry says, "I can't say I am a fan of game mechanics causing possible OOC issues or more workload
on people who sometimes literally need to craft 8+ matching items to finicky folks."

Karrin claims, "I think with the food thing, it's more a matter of shops. We don't want it to be
bought, and then immediately decay. I guess it could decay out of inventory, but shop owners might
decide that is too frsutrating."

Baz opens a shop that sells pre-decayed vegetables. They're just little carrot mummies.

Scarry says, "The stockpiling is a bit of an issue, but I don't know if the solution to that isn't
more trouble than its worth."

Valora states, "On item decay my major thought would be we need more silver flowing into the system
and yeah for one deep spots I can imagine the burnout would be rough... Jewelry, Tailoring, and
folks who enjoy doing armor are kinda a shallow pool atm so those all decaying would require those
players to buy in hard. I would probably cry if I forgot a flower egg needing repair and lost my
glitterglobe."

Karrin states, "Alright, fair. For now, we'll keep it as-is. If the atmosphere surrounding it
changes at a later date, we can continue the conversation then. I think that raw materials do decay
helps with stockpiling. At least the stockpiles (unless in a cold room) are mostly finished crafts."

Karrin nods at Valora.

Meiari merely exists in tailor burnout mode and has little feedback on clothes wearing out.

Sparkles claims, "I do wish we had an easier way to copy saved strings IC as that would reduce a
good reason for keeping an old copy of food stuffs."

Karrin pats Meiari's head. "We won't do that to you. The one I was staunchly against was clothes -
because tailoring is already so much."

Karrin claims to Sparkles, "How so? We can already clone it if we have one of them."

Temi nods in agreement with Karrin.

Karrin states, "If there's a better way, glad to look into it."

Valora looks sparkles then back to her google doc full of every string she's ever mean.

Temi finishes abruptly, "I think that's the comment - you can do it by keeping an old one, but
there's not options that aren't keeping the old item around"

Karrin states to Valora, "Mine's a Notepad++ file, but... same."

Sparkles states, "Yes, but you have to keep one of the items to do that, if food rotted, the
original would poof poof."

Baz says, "Maybe having something like a cook book, a journal full of descs that you can copy from"

Karrin claims, "Ahhhh, I understand what you mean. yes."

Karrin questions, "Alright, good good. Did we have any additional topics today?"

Baz says, "I have a question that I'm posing to the whole game"

Baz states, "If permitted"

Temi claims, "A recipe or pattern item type could be valuable, though I don't know that I'd
prioritize it over some other things"

Karrin says to Baz, "If I find it something you shouldn't talk about, I'll let you know. Have at,
for now."

Karrin nods at Temi.

August declares, "Yes, your breeches do hide your thighs well Baz!"

Baz says, "Is it Vavardian or Vavardi, cause my Score says Vavardian and I have never heard anyone
use that word."

Karrin claims, "The language itself is Vavardi. The duchy is Vavard. You... are Vavardian. Though,
many just use the language name, Vavardi."

Baz has his head explode.

Temi says, "I think both are certainly valid."

Karrin nods.

Meiari says, "Lithmorran is a wild language, it sounds better in Vavardi, I promise"

Katarina says, "Mine says Tubori, not Tuborian. So, probably some inconsistency there."

Scarry states, "Can we give the ducal seats real names again."

Temi claims, "Yeah, Vavardian is not as common, but Tuborian is probably just wrong."

Temi grins.

Valora claims, "I admit I mostly use Vavardi because that's what the people from Vavard I talk to
use for their demonym. "

Sparkles claims, "I volunteer to get blamed for this by promoting it, yes."

Scarry says, "Vavard City is so weird when you have real, pleasant names."

Baz says, "Farrinian"

Karrin queries, "Alright, beyond exploding Baz's brain, anything else?"

Baz claims, "Nah, I'm good"

August says, "How many Hillmen does it take to change a lightbulb"

Scarry finishes abruptly, "Farin City, Vandago City, Tubor City, Vavard City - why why hwy"

Karrin blinks.

Scarry sobs.

Karrin queries to August, "Do I need to trans you before you answer that?"

August states, "I stand by it"

Baz claims, "I'mma petition the Seneschal to rename all the cities"

HIEROPHANT claims, "Fantastic idea"

HIEROPHANT says, "I will name them all after me."

Karrin defers to August. "If it's really bad, I'm immediately getting rid fo you."

Baz states, "Vandago City is VandaGONE"

InvestSouthside says, "I prefer Vandalize"

August states, "Then I shall stay silent for survival"

Karrin says to August, "Nope, already opened the can of works. Out with it."

Temi says, "Farin City is kaputt. Montford now"

Temi states, "We could explode some more capitals. That might be fun."

Valora says "I assume the names where a show of force and cultural assimilation during the Crusade.
Simply don't have cities next time nerds." Dabs in Charali(n).

Karrin states to Temi, "You do like exploding things."

Karrin states, "WORMS. opened a can of worms."

Scarry claims, "I am for burning down Vavard City."

Karrin says to Scarry, "You would be."

Meiari claims, "Leave my motherland out of this >_<"

Sparkles states, "Given the Vavardi were the only time Dav lost, I don't know if that's wise,
brother."

Baz states, "Don't you mean Vavardians"

August states, "Answer: Hillmen are too short to get up there, and then the Order burns them all for
knowing what lightbulbs are"

Scarry says, "Don't you mean Vavardians."

Karrin sighs.

Karrin claims, "OK, bye everybody. Have fun."

August claims, "Next time I'll be better"

Scarry states, "Byebyeee."

Karrin says to August, "Check the OOC history. Faith has them in spades."

Baz claims, "Remember to spay and neuter your retainers"
