Computer Died

My computer died *big frowny face*. My partner has their own which they may occasionally allow me to use, but he has a habit of taking it to work with him, leaving me bereft. So... may be scarce.

It could be the power pack, but it was giving me the blue screen of death as late as last week. The electricians said they had to turn the power off to install our central air, so asked me to turn everything off. I did. When they turned the power back on, it was dead. We checked the other and power board, all fine. Might be something small, but I knew the motherboard was going.

I can access internet with my mobile or patter's laptop, but it's clunky. :/

Could have been a surge when the power came back on, or the motherboard's onbaord battery could have died in the meantime. When you turn it on, nothing happens at all?

Just to suggest the obvious, have you tried plugging it in elsewhere? Or swapping the leads/etc over?
