How about this: a command for passing a piece of mail or paper through (under) a door into the room on the other side.

Something like:

'slide <paper/mail/death threat/love letter> <direction>'

And then a fancy echo (or not! It could be silent too!) into the targeted room.

Feasible? I'd definitely use this.

As cool as it would be, I confess I'd be a little bummed by a mage mail-bomber, mostly because it already seems too easy to get away with things because of code limitations.

Mail bombing would not currently be possible with the set-up of the spell you're referring to, so that isn't really a concern. If this is limited to mail and papers, it shouldn't be problematic. Perhaps with a drop action to indicate it's on the ground by the door, so you can't just frame people with 'they've got a letter from the Rubeus in their room!'

A (non-lethal) mail bomb spell would be awesome.

How about one that sprays ink in your face when you open it? Leaves a dirty tag that doesn't wear off for a couple of days and a little line below your desk saying your face is covered in ink.
