Here is the link for the text of my Handbook of Medicine, which I'd like to use to provide a sort of standard for what's common IC care. People would certainly be free to deviate from this standard, but this would be a general idea as to what level of technology and knowledge is appropriate.

I appreciate the effort of putting stuff like this together! I took a read through, and found only a few things I would change in an "objective," editorial sense.

"Some mages are able to inflict strange other kind of burn-like wounds that are better treated with tincture, however." This sentence reads a bit oddly to me, but I'm failing to explain specifically why I feel that way... I tried typing it out a few times but couldn't really clarify what bugs me about it. So maybe it's fine, but I still thought I'd bring it up in case it could be reworded without much trouble.

There are two instances of "a herbal" and one of "a herbalist" which should be "an herbal" and "an herbalist". With the exception of "Holy Honour" I think most or all game content uses American grammar, which is consistent with "favorite" and "humor" referenced elsewhere in the document.

That's about it, I think overall it's a good introduction to methods and procedures that some who play IC docs may not always be familiar with (humors, trepanning, etc.). Thanks for putting it together.

Re: the acid wound thing... oh lord, that's so awkward because I have NO idea how to treat it ICly.

Problem: earth mages leave acid wounds. Why? Every mattack I've ever seen from an earth mage involves pelting people with stones, or tying them up in vines, etc, etc. Things that should be blunt damage. Buuuut earth leaves acid-type tincture-requiring wounds. So I've never had any idea how to deal with it.

Perhaps the damage type for earth mattacks needs to be changed.

Will fix the herbal thing. Thanks for comments!

On further inspection, I think it's the series of modifiers separating "inflict" and "wounds" that derails me. Maybe something like "Some mages inflict wounds which burn without fire, however, which are better treated with tincture."? Dunno.
