The survey got me thinking about "bad" things that magic (and possibly poison/stealth) could do to people.

1 - Magical Stocks

Basically you cast this spell on someone who is restrained, and they are left restrained in place for a period of time. It'd be nice to have non-magic versions of this too - one under the control of the Reeves/Order and another run by the Thieves in the Southside. You could pose (though one would hope people would reflect their restraints in this) but not be able to leave the room or send a pigeon or whatnot. Basically like being restrained, except people can't lead you off somewhere. And with a magic lock I suppose, or not lock at all. After a certain period of time (know to the caster/jailer but not to the prisoner) it would release you.

For non-magic versions you'd presumably have guards keeping people hydrated and preventing them from being outright killed or maimed too badly. Would that be something for a magic public restraint too? Should it be explicitly non-lethal?

Would be very useful in the non-magic case for Reeves to do sentences.

TBP Noah also suggested just making it "Thandok's Inescapable Bondage" (lol) and that it would work like regular restraints but have no key but instead just dissipate after a while.

Presumably the conditions to cast this would be similar to those required to arrest/restrain someone (no throwing a magic net at someone and bam you're trapped. Though that would be cool).

TL;DR - Magic restraints that instead of being unlocked conventionally (or struggled out of) release you after a limited period of time.

We have a spell that acts like restraints... Hmmm.

Not with that functionality and flexibility though. The current spells are a bit cumbersome though very useful in the right circumstances. A bit easy to get someone out of with RPA too depending on how the imms are interpreting the spell effect.
