His Grace Ariel le Orban, Regent of Lithmore, has announced that an open
session of Court will soon be held. This session is to provide information
to the public about changes in Lithmore's laws and policy; scuttlebutt
suggests the major issue under discussion will be, again, the military
strategy within Edessa.

All are invited to attend, and should there be time once the set agenda is
finalized, to bring up petitions or issues to the Court for its
consideration.

On the evening of Augustus 16, 363 word began to trickle through the
city beginning at the theatre. Poet Laudate op Trumina has relinquished
her position after what seemed like much deliberation with some other
prominent bards. It is said when she left the office all she said was: 'I
hope someone else can liven up you lot, see you novice's for lessons
tomorrow! ' It is true, for the last year the Lithmorran troubadours have
been dwindling, one can only hope for a Vavardian or Tubori Poet to come
forth and take to the position for some fun.

Grand Magnate Zarrova's secretary today released guidelines and a
firming of rules around the provision of licenses to those outside of the
Merchant Guild's direct auspices. A license is available by contacting the
Grand Magnate herself, as either a fixed one year term, multi-year
agreement or on a rolling month-to-month basis. For multi-year licenses,
there is a discount of 3.5% per additional year, up to a maximum of four
years. Licenses are issued by the Grand Magnate and kept in dual-copy file
with the Reeves.

Prices:
Non-contract Rolling- 15 silver coins paid monthly
1-year agreement - 140 silver coins paid upfront
2-year agreement - 270 silver coins paid upfront
3-year agreement - 390 silver coins paid upfront
4-year agreement - 500 silver coins paid upfront

Note that without either a license or membership within the Guild of
Merchants, it is prohibited to engage in the trade of finished goods within
the Lithmorran Brenlands. Licenses for the four Duchies and
extra-territorial areas can be arranged through the local area magnate and
guild factors respectively. Those found engaging in trade outside of this
remit will be charged the full market value of any trade and repeat
offenders will be considered for admission to the rolls of the merchant
blacklist.

On the morning of Circadi 19, a new notice was posted at the doors to
the Madison Hospital and Church Street Clinic, and read aloud at the
Crossroads:

The Royal Physicians Guild of Lithmore is pleased to announce the official
appointment of a new Epion, Lady Katarina ab Jinosa of Vees. Lady ab
Jinosa, a Dame of the Knights Lithmorran, has served both formally and
informally with the Guild for the past three years as a specialist in field
medicine, but more recently as a midwife and apothecary. All guild
inquiries should henceforth be addressed both to her and the Prime Medicus,
Shaylei de Roldan.

The Physicians would also like to draw attention, once more, to the
corpserot epidemic that is currently rife in the wilderness surrounding the
city. All hunters and travellers beyond the city gates should remember to
equip themselves with salve and to properly bury all animal corpses.
Infected personages should treat themselves immediately with a single
application of corpserot salve, which is available for free at the Church
Street Clinic. Furthermore, hunters who help scour the wilderness of
infected beasts will be rewarded with an amount of silver commensurate to

Exiting Ahalin tower with the Cardinal next to him, the Justiciar
announced to the crowd the following:

" Jonquil ab Ydeth has been arrested for a number of crimes, he was set to
be executed so as not to be a menace to society." pausing a moment before
continuing, " Through cooperation with the Church, the man has been given a
second chance. He has been made a Eunuch and has been agreed to seek
entrance into the church. Please do not hold his past crimes against him,
he has been given another chance. Thank you and Lord Bless."

The Justiciar and Cardinal then returned to Ahalin, to mete out proper
justice to the remaining prisoners.

The bells are rung throughout the city, summoning the faithful to the
steps of the cathedral where the Cardinal is standing. He is flanked on
either side by the Archbishop and an unknown woman. After sufficient
people are gathered the His Holiness addresses the crowds.

"Brothers and Sisters, it is my duty to announce to you the changes in the
ecclesiastical administration of the kingdom and the Duchy of Lithmore. It
is my pleasure to present to you, Her Holy Honor Haeva Soler, Grand
Inquisitor. Due to her rank, I have chosen to ordain her, with the
permission of the High Synod, the second of the three Archbishops of
Lithmorre. Her See will be Saint Aelwyns Cathedral." He gestures to his
left, "His Eminence, Aurther Auguste has been reassigned the See of Loryth,
though I expect he will still be a common sight around the city."

He pauses and smiles, "I have word from His Holiness Cardinal von Devou of
Vandango, under whom Her Holy Honor served for many years, that she is
through and has a strong love of her work. Please accord her all the
support you have given me in these past months as I served the office. Let
us pray."

The Cardinal bows his head, "Lord grant this woman the inspiration to
conceive, wisdom to execute, and strength to support all plans that will
fulfill our divine mandate to bring troubled souls to the Lord of Springs
loving embrace."

After a short address, the alleged mage and demon summoner Telvar Malken
was burnt at the stake by the newly appoint Grand Inquisitor. The pyring
took place during the Merchants annual festival, on Septembris 26th. The
Grand Inquisitor promised the populace that this was but the first of many
mages to be purified, and then took her leave.
